Recap
- Oliver confesses to being attracted to Elle. Carmella tells him he must choose.
- Sky believes Kerry should be with her in prison.
- Elle waits as Paul is taken to surgery.
Erinsborough Hospital / Number 30
Elle waits patiently at the hospital outside Paul's room, occasionally glancing at the clock.
Oliver sits playing with his phone at home, when Pepper comes through to watch the football.
The nurse tells Elle there is still no news of Paul, and that she must wait.
Pepper is browsing wedding dresses in the magazines, and asks what Oliver thinks, but he is miles away. She asks what's bothering him, but he doesn't want to talk about it.
It's reached 2am and Elle is asleep across the sofas in the hospital corridor.
Goodwood Women's Prison
Next morning, Sky is pleased to see Janelle, and is quick to introduce her to Mary, her new cell mate. Sky informs Janelle that her application to have Kerry with her in prison has been approved, which Janelle is please to hear, but warns that Harold isn't too keen on the idea. Sky asks that she talks to Harold, as she is Kerry's mother and has the right to say where her baby should live. Mary reassures Janelle that she'll keep an eye on Sky.
Kennedys
Pepper apologises to Susan about her attendance at school. Susan tells her not to worry as she had a good explanation, and asks if she'd like more time off, but Pepper is keen to get back to work. Karl comes through applying some of Susan's moisturiser. She tells him not to use so much as it's expensive. He asks Pepper how old she reckons he is, and when she doesn't give him the answer he wants she tells him moisturiser is not the way to go.
PEPPER: Well you've got to start from the inside out; diet and exercise.
Karl and Susan both suddenly pull their chests in and stand/sit up straight!
Erinsborough Hospital
Oliver arrives to find Elle still asleep across the chairs. He lays his jacket over her and strokes her hair before leaving her be.
The General Store
Having just got off the phone, with Kerry in one arm, Harold is disappointed that the system won't let him take guardianship of her. Lou doesn't see the issue, and points out that she should be with her mother, but Harold really isn't keen on the idea of Kerry being in prison.
Janelle arrives and tells Harold that keeping Kerry away from Sky is cruel. Harold understands but claims he's just trying to protect Kerry. Janelle points out that Sky is struggling being away from her, and that they deserve to be together. Harold says he knows and he's going to take Kerry to Sky, but in his own time. As he leaves with Kerry, Lou points out that she needs to see it from Harold's point of view.
Kennedys
Susan returns from the garden to find Karl has filled the lounge with gym equipment. He jokes that it probably cost less than what she spends on face cream in a year. She asks him to put it in the garage, but he claims it'll be cold.
There's a knock at the door and Susan opens it to find Pepper. It seems she spotted the van in the street, and on seeing the new gym equipment asks Karl if she can borrow it occasionally. He agrees on the condition that she becomes his new personal trainer; starting immediately. He rushes off to get changed.
SUSAN: Oh God, please not lycra!
Harold's Garden
Bree pops her head over the fence to see Harold cradling Kerry. She asks him for some gardening advice, so he pops Kerry into her pram, and walks over to the fence. As Bree and Harold talk, Janelle sneaks round and takes Kerry.
Bree mentions how it's breaking Sky's heart not too see Kerry. Harold admits he has been selfish.
BREE: No, you're just doing what you thought was right for Kerry.
HAROLD: Yes well I know what is right now, is to give Kerry back to her mum, and I'm going to do that this afternoon.
BREE: Ah, wish I'd have known that earlier.
HAROLD: Why's that?
BREE: Cos mum just took her!
Ramsay Street
As Janelle is in the car driving off, Bree and Harold come running round to the front. Harold explains that he was going to take her, but Janelle doesn't believe him and drives off. Harold is disappointed that he didn't get a chance to say goodbye.
Goodwood Women's Prison
Sky is keen for another phonecall home, but Mary advises that it may not be the best idea as there is nothing more she can do. She points out that Janelle will do the right thing, and that Harold will come around. She advises Sky to stay calm, so that she doesn't lose her right to have Kerry. Sky thanks her for being so supportive.
Erinsborough Hospital
Elle wakes up and asks about her father, but there is no more news. She spots Oliver sitting reading the paper; he explains that he was concerned for her. She worries that her father isn't too well, and the last time she spoke to him they fought. She starts to cry as she worries that he might die.
Kennedys
Pepper has Karl working hard on the cycling machine as Susan sits at the dining room table eating a slice of chocolate cake. Pepper reminds him to keep his eye on the prize; the body of a 35 year old, not the chocolate cake! Karl switches to the weights, keen to work hard, but Pepper reminds him that the slower he works, the more beneficial it is.
SUSAN: You know Karl, at our stage of life, don't you think we've earnt the right to take it easy? (has another mouthful of cake)
KARL: I hope that goes straight to your backside.
Susan suddenly looks rather concerned, as Pepper explains how Karl is going to add years to his life.
SUSAN: Yes, if he doesn't pop something first.
Karl challenges her to have a go with the weights
SUSAN: I'm not desperately trying to look half my age!
Karl reckons Susan is just jealous. Sensing the tension, Pepper suggests she and Karl go on a warm down run, so they head out the door. Susan walks over to the equipment Karl's left on the floor, and has a go at picking up one of the weights, though she quickly grasps her back and falls to the floor.
Goodwood Women's Prison
Janelle has brought Kerry to Sky, and Sky can't thank her enough for re-uniting them. Janelle admits she's going to miss having Kerry about, and asks when Sky will be moving. Mary is shocked to hear that Sky and Kerry will be moving to the family unit and not staying in the same room as her any longer. Janelle suggests that maybe they could ask if Mary could come with them, to reassure Harold that she'll have some support. Mary starts cooing over Kerry.
Erinsborough Hospital
As Elle sits by her father, Oliver arrives with some coffees. Elle has spoken to the surgeon, who explained that the operation went as well as expected, but they won't know for sure until he wakes up, or if he wakes up. Apparently the neuroma was causing his hallucinations, and possible other side effects. Elle wonders if it was also the cause of all the bad things that he's done in his life, maybe even as far back as breaking up with Gail. Oliver reminds her they'll just have to wait and see.
Kennedys
Susan struggles to sit down with her sore back as Janelle comes over for a coffee. Janelle worries about taking Kerry away from Harold, and admits she's going to miss her too, but she had to do what was right for Sky. At that moment, Pepper arrives back from the run. Janelle informs Pep that her dad was worried about her, having found out what happened, and sends the message of a big hug.
Karl arrives back looking rather exhausted. Pepper mentions they may have to take the training to twice a day. Realising that Susan has hurt her back, Karl asks if she borrowed her weights; they have moved. Susan looks rather sheepish as Karl continues to mock.
Bree arrives and finding her mum, explains that Harold was genuinely going to take Kerry to see Sky, but she took the opportunity for him to say goodbye away from him.
The General Store
Lou reminds Harold that he can still visit Kerry everyday, but Harold is more concerned about the damage it's done to his relationship with Sky. Janelle arrives and gives Harold a hug, apologising for what she did. They start talking about how Mary is with her when Pepper walks past. Pepper asks if it's Mary Casey, and when the description matches, they realise that Sky is in trouble, and rush to help her.
Goodwood Women's Prison
Sky returns with Kerry to their room, and informs Mary that she is unable to come with her. Mary is rather upset and demands that Sky needs her help. The warden arrives to inform Sky that Harold has come to visit. Mary persuades Sky to leave Kerry with her as they don't know if Harold will want to take her back or not. Once Sky has gone, Mary sits cradling Kerry, saying that they're not going to take her away from her.
Out in the yard, Harold and Janelle asks if Mary has Kerry. They explain that they think Mary is the same lady who had Pepper locked up and that she is mentally unstable. When the buzzer goes to warn of a lockdown, Sky worries about Kerry and runs off back into the building.
