Recap
Paul tackles someone and the bloke falls and dislocates his shoulder.
Drew can't believe that Lou would use false evidence to get at John Allen - he thinks it could backfire on him.
Joel is offered a job as a marine biologist - but he'll be away for months at a time, maybe years.
The Pub
Toadie congratulates "Joel Cousteau" on his dive and his new job. Then he tries to get Joel to invest in the movie, but he won't. Dee can't see why Joel wants to work with Vernon Wells, saying he's a nutter. Joel says he's the very best in his field. Dee is clearly upset that Joel is going away.
Bishops
Paul is feeling guilty about dislocating the bloke's arm. He doesn't think that the bloke, Alan Baker, will forgive him. Since Alan Baker is the coach, Paul thinks his footballing chances are scuppered. Harold tries to encourage him that things will turn out OK.
Hancocks
Evan tells Leo that now they're sold the car, they need to think about what to do with the money. He's put 60% into a trust fund for Leo which will mature when he's 18. Leo is very pleased. He also gives Leo some extra pocket money for doing so well with the car. Leo is even more pleased.
Coffee Shop
Leo is ordering a load of cakes for the family dinner. Harold asks him if he's won the lottery! He and Matt see Darcy at a table and Leo talks expertly about the car Darcy wants to buy.
Darcy tells Matt that he has access to a major film project and asks Matt to invest. Matt says he doesn't want to.
Harold invites Lou over to his place tonight, but he says he has a lot to do with Lolly coming home. He's clearly in denial.
The Pub
Paul is telling Joel, Toadie and Dee about the footballing situation. Joel says that if Paul really wants something he should go for it against all the odds - like Joel did with Vernon.
Drew asks Toadie if he'll be int he cricket team this year, but he says he's a bit busy with work. Toadie asks Drew to invests in the film. Drew says that he shouldn't be putting his mates under pressure for money.
Bishops, the following morning.
It's the day of the court case and Lou says he's nervous, but confident.
Drew apologises to Toadie for snapping at him the night before - he's got a few things on his mind.
Drew tells Lou that he's mad to use the stuff from the private detectiv, but Lou says that he'll do anything to get Lolly back.
Hancocks
Evan is on the phone to Chris - he wants to come to visit. Evan tells Leo that he misses having Chris around.
Coffee Shop
Dee is telling Toadie that Joel makes such instant decisions without considering the consequences. Toadie can't understand her problem with Joel's job - Joel is doing something that he wants to do. Toadie realises that Dee doesn't want Joel to go. Suddenly she says that Toadie's right - it's Joel's life and he can do what he wants.
Hancocks
Darcy drops in the cricket fixtures to Evan. He makes Darcy a cup of tea and Darcy asks if Evan has thought any more about the film investment. He puts the hard word on Evan and suggests that he talks to Maggie about it.
Coffee Shop
Joel comes in to talk to Toadie about Dee. He can't understand why she's so negative about him getting the job - she's helped him so much in the past. Joel thinks it's because Dee she's him as more than a friend. Toadie says that Joel is jumping the gun - Dee is a friend who's concerned about him. He tells Joel to let it go - if it's meant to happen it will, but not now. Joel says he can't go to Queensland with anything hanging in the air.
Bishops
Lou is staring into space and Harold is looking very worried about him. Drew comes to see how things went.
LOU: The appeal failed. I've lost her.
(Later)
Harold said that Lou did everything right (he didn't use the private detective stuff). Apparently a statement was read out from Lolly that she wanted to live with both Lou and the Allens. The court felt that under the circumstances and because of the biological factor they thought that things should stay as they are.
Lou is very gutted, but Harold and Drew say he's a hero for making such a sacrifice for Lolly. He'll always have Lolly's love.
Hancocks
Leo has been shopping for trainers and other stuff. Also he bought presents for all the family. Matt asks if his present might be a Porsche! He gives Evan a non-sweatshop-labour T-shirt and Maggie, a hat for Emily and a steering wheel cover for Matt - at least it's a start for his Porsche! Matt asks them to come outside - he's got something to show them.
Bishops
Paul is still depressed about his football career. Harold says he's fed up with Paul's wallowing. The phone rings and Paul answers it to Alan Baker - he's invited Paul to go to training again tonight. More than that, he wants Paul to nominate himself as a late entry in the draft. This means that Paul could get into the professional team!
Ramsay Street
Matt shows Evan and Leo his car. Leo is impressed, but Evan doesn't know how Matt is going to afford it. Matt says he's going to pay $150 a week, but Evan says that he won't be able to handle the repayments next year when he's at Uni. Matt tells Evan that he's decided not to go to Uni.
Coffee Shop
Joel tells Dee that he's got his contract - his job is official now. Dee says she's pleased - she only said the stuff she did before because she wanted to make sure that Joel was making the right decision. Joel says that he doesn't believe her and wants to know the real reason.
