Lassiters Hotel Exterior
Terese and Chloe are in a meeting with Montana. She lets them know she's onto their plan to use Leo as a bargaining chip, and it won't work. Terese and Chloe then become curious when they overhear Montana make a phone call to Mick, asking him to block off her calendar from 11 because she has a meeting with Paul Robinson at the vineyard. Chloe thinks Paul could just be "schmoozing", but Terese points out that Paul doesn't schmooze for no reason. She tells Chloe to cancel her lunch plans - they're going to stake out the vineyard instead.

Number 32
Nicolette and Jane are putting up 'welcome home' decorations for Aaron, surprised when David and Aaron get back earlier than expected. Nic gives Aaron a gentle hug and lets him know they've stocked the fridge with all his favourites. Aaron says it's great to see everyone, and Nicolette tells him it's wonderful to see David actually smiling again now he's home. Aaron then gets the chance to give Isla a proper cuddle.

Number 24 Sunroom
Mackenzie is surprised to see Freya's arm in a sling, but Freya explains it was a hairline fracture that was missed after the accident. The two of them then make plans to pop into #32 later and say hello to Aaron. Chloe appears and asks where her drying rack is - she has to change because she's heading to the vineyard with Terese to spy on Paul. Freya says she put it in the spare room, which then turns into a conversation between the housemates on what they should use the spare room for. They agree to meet up for drinks later to discuss things further.

Vineyard Exterior
Glen catches up with Paul and asks how his trip went. Paul says it was great, and Scott and Charlene wanted Glen to know he's welcome up there any time because they'd love to finally meet him. Leo wonders why Paul's there alone when he had a booking for two, but Paul says he's definitely meeting someone. Kiri suddenly appears and Glen is befuddled, thinking she's there to have lunch with Paul. But Kiri explains (after introducing herself to Paul), that Leo hired her as the new events manager.

LEO: Kiri called me after she had lunch here.
KIRI: I got a great vibe. I asked Leo to keep me in mind if anything came up.
LEO: It's great we've finally got a good team coming together. (Looking at Glen) With you on operations and Kiri on events, I can focus on the gin launch.

While Glen silently panics, it's Leo's turn to be confused when Montana rocks up. He didn't recall them having a meeting today, but Montana reveals she's there to have lunch with Paul.

Harold's Café
Jane asks Curtis how things are going with Shannon. Curtis says Shannon and Aubrey are on the same page with her schoolwork, so everything is fine. Jane leaves, crossing paths with Shannon and Aubrey on the way. Shannon's less than keen to see Curtis there, so Aubrey tells her gran to grab a table outside for them. Once she's alone, Aubrey takes the opportunity to speak with Curtis and let him know he might be right about her gran's hearing loss. "I was wondering if you could maybe try talking to her again," Aubrey asks.

Vineyard Exterior
Leo meets Terese and Chloe at the car, letting them know about Paul and Montana's little lunch meeting. Terese thinks Paul has no reason to be dining with Montana unless he's seeking to undermine Terese at fashion week. Chloe doesn't think that makes any sense because having fashion week at Lassiters is a huge win for the business.

CHLOE: Why would he risk losing it?
TERESE: Chloe, this is my baby. He has professional jealousy.
CHLOE: Or he's trying to make you jealous personally.
TERESE: Yeah, well, I guess that too.
LEO: No, he knows you're too smart for that.

Chloe sees Glen with a woman and asks Leo who he's walking with. Leo explains that Kiri is their new events manager, just as Kiri and Glen stop to say hello. While Kiri's busy making small talk with Chloe, Glen and Terese step aside as Terese has clocked Glen's Kiri-related internal meltdown.

TERESE: Did you know about this?
GLEN: Do you think I'd still be here if I did?

Number 32
Aaron asks Nicolette how things are with Kiri, but Nic says they're not on speaking terms. Nicolette is also still really mad at Glen for sticking his nose in. Freya and Mackenzie pop over to see Aaron, and David asks if they're staying for lunch, which the girls are happy to do.

Vineyard Exterior
Glen tells Terese that he didn't even know Leo was looking for an events manager, and worries about how he's meant to work with Kiri every day. Terese advises Glen to first of all, calm down, and second of all not just up and quit his job like he's threatening to.

GLEN: I've got no idea how to handle this.
TERESE: I can't imagine how full on it is for you, but perhaps the more time you spend with Kiri the easier it will get.
GLEN: Where do I even start?
TERESE: By letting things settle. With Kiri and the job, and with you emotionally.

Vineyard Interior
Montana looks as though she's enjoying her lunch with Paul in the restaurant. He asks if she saw the Christie's auction last week and Montana says she actually bought something from it. Terese joins Chloe at the bar and asks if she's managed to overhear any of Paul and Montana's conversation, but that's a negative from Chloe. Leo also looks worried that Paul and Montana appear to be getting along so swimmingly. Kiri takes more wine over to their table, then returns to Leo and the gang, asking how her service skills are faring. Leo says she's doing well, but he'll take over for now so Kiri can finish her induction. Glen was meant to be acting as guide but Chloe says she'll take over - as a former employee she knows the layout.

Power Road
Curtis takes a stroll with Shannon and Aubrey down near The 82. He apologises to Shannon for their incident the other day, but he, and Aubrey, are still concerned that she might be having difficulties hearing. Shannon sarcastically replies, "sorry, what was that?", making Curtis laugh. He says he deflects with humour too as a sort of defence mechanism. Shannon retorts she doesn't need a defence mechanism because there's nothing wrong with her hearing. But when she goes to cross the road she doesn't hear a car coming and nearly gets struck by the vehicle.

Vineyard Exterior
Chloe and Kiri are walking through the grapevines, getting along quite well. Kiri asks how Aaron's going (explaining that Glen mentioned Aaron was Chloe's brother). She says she feels bad about what happened to him, but Chloe knows it wasn't her fault. Chloe then wonders if Kiri will be moving away from the retreat - especially now she's working at the vineyard, unless 4am wake-up calls are her speciality. Kiri says she's always "up with the sparrows" anyway, but she is keen to move closer to the city.

Lassiters Complex
Aaron strolls along with Nicolette (the babies in the pram) and Mackenzie. He tells them they don't have to walk so slow just for his benefit, but they're happy to. David and Freya tag along behind. Freya says it's nice to see David relaxing again, but David credits it to the way Freya's been handling everything. He mentions the interview and being able to move forward now, not realising Dean is behind them. Dean excuses himself to pass and David sighs, asking why he's sneaking up on them.

DEAN: I wasn't. If you guys weren't chatting you would have heard me.
DAVID: Well you shouldn't be listening in on other people's private conversations.
DEAN: I didn't mean to, but I will add it to the list of everything you've accused me of, David.

When he leaves, Aaron asks David what just happened. Freya gives them space to talk and Aaron wonders if Dean was harassing him again.

AARON: Mick came to me in the hospital the other day and told me Dean is still obsessed with you.
DAVID: What?
AARON: Yeah, and I think I owe Mick an apology. I didn't want to hear it so I tore him a new one.
DAVID: Apologising to Mick, really? After everything he's done to everyone here? No, look, I'm over the stress of it now. I just want to move forward and not look back.

Vineyard Interior
Montana wraps up her lunch with Paul as she's got a meeting to get to about her upcoming fashion week in Toronto. When she exits the restaurant she bumps into Terese outside. Terese explains she's just there to see Leo, but can't help asking if everything is okay as Paul made it clear he didn't want to be involved with fashion week. But Terese is surprised when Montana says Paul was actually very happy with Terese and talked her up.

Back inside, Leo wants to get the real goss from Paul about what's going on with Montana. Paul laughs when Leo asks if it was a date, saying of course it wasn't. "It was simply networking," Paul explains. "You know how I like to keep the door open for the future." This eases Leo's mind somewhat, and he's even more pleased when Montana sends him a text that says 'See you tonight. My place.'

Harold's Café
Curtis has a coffee with Shannon and Aubrey. Shannon is quite shaky after her ordeal and admits to Curtis that Aubrey was right when she told him that Shannon has trouble with her hearing. Curtis reassures her that it's a normal response to not want it to be true, but it doesn't mean there's nothing she can do about it.

SHANNON: What, like getting tested just to be told what I already know.
CURTIS: And to know what your options are. Being deaf, or hard of hearing, doesn't stop you from living your life. Look at me, I'm doing okay.

Vineyard Exterior
Leo walks along with Kiri and Chloe, asking if Kiri's all set for her first official day tomorrow. Kiri's keen to begin, so Leo sets off to get her contract ready. Glen then joins the girls and apologises for not finishing the tour. Kiri jokes that it was a challenge having to hang out with Chloe for the day. Glen smiles and says he'll be around tomorrow to show Kiri the ropes inside. Kiri and Chloe continue their walk and Chloe invites her along to her housemate drinks later.

KIRI: I don't want to crash your drinks.
CHLOE: No you're not crashing! You actually know Freya, she was at River Bend. Come on, it will be fun.
KIRI: Okay, twist my arm.

Glen watches them interact from afar.

The Waterhole
Kiri gives Freya a hug when she arrives, asking how she's been. Chloe then introduces Mackenzie and Kiri, telling them all about Kiri's new job at the vineyard. Freya wishes she could stay longer but she has to head to work. Mac also has to leave soon because she's seeing a movie with Hendrix, but she can stay for one more drink. Kiri offers to get the next round. It's a gin and tonic for Mackenzie, but Kiri says she'll guess what Chloe's drink of choice is. When Kiri goes to the bar, Chloe has a quiet word with Mackenzie.

CHLOE: So, what do you think?
MACKENZIE: Oh, I think you should go for it.
CHLOE: What?
MACKENZIE: What?
CHLOE: (flustered) No, I mean, what did you think of her as a potential housemate?
MACKENZIE: Are you sure there's not something going on because I'm kind of picking up a vibe here.
CHLOE: No! No, no, no vibe. A housemate vibe. Strictly housemate.
MACKENZIE: Right. Well I suppose it's better than keeping the spare room as a drying cupboard. Let's just have a drink and then I'll suss her out.
CHLOE: Great I will text Freya.

Kiri brings the drinks back and has Chloe's correct order - but only because she cheated and asked the bar staff.

Number 32
Paul has had dinner with David (and Aaron, who has already gone to bed). Nicolette and Jane are still quite uncomfortable being around Paul, so after dinner Jane quickly makes an excuse to go to bed herself and Nicolette says she'll pop out to get milk. Terese then calls in on the premise of visiting Aaron, surprised to find Paul there. As uneasy as she is, Terese still thanks Paul for putting in a good word with Montana for her. Paul says he didn't say anything that wasn't true. When Terese leaves, David turns to Paul with his eyebrows raised

DAVID: That was a change.
PAUL: Why does everybody always expect the worst of me?

The Waterhole
Chloe and Kiri are the only ones left at drinks. When Chloe gets a thumbs up text from Freya, Chloe asks Kiri if she'd like to move into the spare room. Kiri is stoked and calls Chloe a lifesaver. Nicolette walks in and can't believe her eyes when she sees them at a table together.

KIRI: Should we talk house rules?
CHLOE: Yeah, so we're fairly cruisy. Food and bills are shared. Cooking and cleaning roster - it's pretty standard.
KIRI: And what if I wanted to bring a girl over?
CHLOE: Well your room is your room. If you wanted to bring a girl home, lucky you.
KIRI: It's great you're so chill.
CHLOE: Well I'm bi, so no judgement here.
KIRI: (smiling) Oh, cool.

Nicolette can't help herself and approaches them, asking Kiri what she's doing back in Erinsborough. Oblivious, Chloe says the two of them must have hung out at the getaway. "Uh, hanging out is one way of putting it," Kiri says, which earns a look of realisation from Chloe.

NICOLETTE: What are you guys doing?
CHLOE: Kiri is taking our spare room. You two are going to be neighbours.
