South Melbourne Market
Levi still has a bit more shopping to do (for the party) and wants Freya to hang on until he's finished so they can go home together. It appears Freya wants away from Levi now, so decides to take an uber home instead of waiting.
Ramsay Street
Vera Punt is surprised to be asked to Chloe's party but readily accepts the invite. David can't believe what she has done... but actually Chloe has been crafty - inviting Mrs Punt to the party so that she can't call the police!
After Chloe asks, David isn't sure if Aaron will be coming to the party, but she'd love it if they both came along. She then asks that he invites some colleagues to the party so that Freya can meet some other folk.
Harold's café
Roxy continues working her charm on the Rodwell's, this time Andrew before he heads back to the station. "Did it work?" Kyle asks, and her plan isn't for Levi to get into trouble but actually to get him out of trouble.
Number 24
The party is in full swing when Chloe welcomes David and Aaron into the house, thrilled that they've both came. Aaron seems to be there under duress, ignoring his sisters welcome and going straight for the alcohol!
CHLOE: He's perked right up then!
DAVID: Maybe lower your expectations for tonight! If he has even a little bit a little bit of fun, I think that's a win.
Given Amy is glued to looking out the window, Mackenzie is curious to know if she is waiting for someone? Melanie explains she's just making sure that Zara hasn't sneaked out of #30 even though Amy knows exactly where she is thanks to installing a tracking app on her phone!
Jane has overhead that bit and relays that information to the K's and Vera who are out in the sunroom when she returns with drinks for everyone. The quartet naturally start talking about Zara and what Amy has done - Susan isn't surprised to hear an app has been installed, given the handful she is. However Vera thinks it's lazy parenting, Amy should be home watching over the "pyromaniac like a hawk!" Jane agrees with Vera, given Amy knows exactly what her daughter is like! Susan thinks they are being unfair on Amy.
SUSAN: Zara would be a handful for anyone.
JANE: All the more reason why she shouldn't let her out of her sight. Goodness knows what she's up to!
VERA: Probably plotting the next inferno!
Number 30
When we cut to #30, we see Zara is sitting in the sunroom all on her lonesome looking at the necklace before messaging Sadie to sneakily invite her over (and instructions on how to get in unseen).
Hendrix has left the party to come over and check how Zara is doing, admitting though that it is weird seeing her again because of the kiss. Zara gets that and is grateful he has come over as it also lets her apologise to him. She acknowledges that it was wrong and wants them to pretend it didn't happen.
HENDRIX: What didn't happen?
Hendrix confirms too that he hasn't said anything to Mackenzie, which Zara seems very relieved to hear. She hopes that they can go back to being mates, which he agrees to but does get in, a "but that's all."
Ramsay Street
Sadie and Aubrey are making their way to #30 when they spot Hendrix leaving from there. The pair are struggling to work out how Mackenzie hasn't worked out what is happening behind her back... something they plan to put right!
Number 24
Levi heads to the sunroom to chat with Freya but she can't seem to get away from him quick enough! He acknowledges that today didn't go as hoped but does feel that they are getting close and reassures her that he won't stop until Gareth is found.
Before she heads inside to get another drink, David comes out to introduces them a colleague from the hospital - Dean (the cleaner). Freya is happy to meet the colleague... well until Dean thinks that the pair of them are a couple, which Levi is quick to dispel!
Inside the house, Toadie pulls Amy away from the window and forces her to the sofa, commenting that she is she is supposed to be at the party! "You're allowed to have a night off," Melanie reminds her!
Roxy grabs Kyle to check if Levi has left the house yet (no) and he is curious to know exactly what she is up to!
Meanwhile, Chloe tries to cheer her dour-faced brother up by enticing him into playing "death by dice" but with a change in the rules - rolling any 6 means a drink. "Are you in or out?" Chloe asks her brother and he takes the dice from her hands.
Number 30
Aubrey and Sadie arrive in the sunroom and are curious to know what Zara did to get a smile on Hendrix's face! She ignores replying to that, instead explaining he was over to make sure she hadn't "died of boredom." They interpret that is them hooking up and so ask when he's dumping Mackenzie since "you two are perfect together?" Zara doesn't reply to that, instead thanking them for being her friend, which they reciprocate along with pledging that they have "her back" too.
The duo know Zara is bored so suggest she uploads some recent photos of Hendrix to the online account; however Zara's comeback is they're trying to keep things quiet. "It must suck having to be so secretive," Sadie remarks including not being able to show off the necklace either. Aubrey suggests taking a photo of Zara wearing said necklace and post it to the account so she can at least see it there instead of hiding it.
Number 24
The party is in full swing, but most folk seem to be watching Aaron and Chloe play their dice game... that is except Hendrix and Mackenzie who want to play their own version of the dice game in her room. [Hendrix eventually nicks the dice unseen, when Chloe and Aaron stop playing the game to chat.]
The alcohol seems to have done its trick and helped get Aaron into a better mood, so much so that the siblings apologise to each other. Chloe tries to get him to accept that she knew Leo was going to keep Abigail and the longer it went on, the more he would get hurt. "I know," Aaron replies and even admits, that if the shoes were reversed, he'd have done what his sister did.
AARON: It still doesn't change the fact that it hurts.
CHLOE: I get it. I'm here for you, and so is David.
The pair are bantering with each other when Dean accidentally collides with Aaron and his brightly coloured drink goes all over his shirt. Dean apologies profusely before taking Aaron to the sunroom to get the stain out.
Meanwhile, Levi invites Freya outside to get some fresh air but before she gets a chance to reply, his phone starts ringing. After ending the call, Levi has to head into work but somehow Freya doesn't seem too disappointed at that news!
Number 30
Sadie and Aubrey turn the conversation around to how gutted Hendrix will be once Zara leaves. She replies that isn't happening given she's not done anything wrong. It looks like the bold duo are about to plan something but Amy's early return from the party has them instead hurriedly exiting the sunroom.
Number 24
In the sunroom Dean works his cleaning magic so that Aaron's shirt is stain free. Now cleaned up, [having been filled in by David on Abigail] Dean raises this with Aaron and he doesn't look too impressed at what his husband has done!
Meanwhile inside the house, it looks like whatever version of the dice game Mackenzie and Hendrix were playing, they've had a good time from their dishevelled looks on coming back to the living room from the bedroom!
TOADIE: (to Melanie) Looks like someone beat us to the dice.
MELANIE: You want me to shake them down?
TOADIE: Oh no, I've got a whole drawer full of them at home!
Aaron finds his husband and makes his displeasure known about him blabbing to Dean! David tries to defend himself but all it does is set the ball rolling for the pair to get into an almighty argument which is only stopped when Sgt. Rodwell comes calling because a noise complaint has been made.
Number 26 (next day)
Although he can't say too much about it, Levi does tell Roxy and Kyle that his new job Sgt. Rodwell has lined him up for "is massive" and will keep him busy. They seem pleased about this new opportunity for Levi and after he heads off to get ready for work, Kyle is happy at Roxy's shenanigans especially if it keeps Levi away from Freya for good.
Number 24
Chloe is cleaning up the sunroom when David calls round to apologise for wrecking the party and volunteering to help clean up as his punishment. However there isn't much left to do as Dean has already done most of it.
DAVID: Let's not tell Aaron that!
David is pleased though that the siblings have sorted their woes out before opening up over how bad things are between himself and Aaron.
DAVID: I don't know how much more I can take.
Chloe does her best to reassure David that they will get there and work through it, just like they've already been doing.
DAVID: First time the cops have been called on one of our domestics!
Chloe is sure that call was made long before their domestic started and the pair begin to wonder who did make the call?
Number 28 (garden)
Karl is busy pruning the rose bush when Susan comes out with a cuppa and wanting to know why they've suddenly got lots of dips and chips in the house? "I brought them home from the party last night," Karl informs her as he didn't want them going to waste. This puzzles her given he left before she did and we then discover who called the police - Karl! Susan is gobsmacked at hearing this and why - it was a noisy party and he wanted a good night's sleep!
SUSAN: You've lost your mind!
The chat is interrupted when Hendrix rushes into the garden to get a rose for Mackenzie. Karl cuts him one and the lad rushes off as quickly as he arrived.
Number 24
Levi calls round to tell Freya that he's now too busy with his new work task, possibly for quite a bit, to look for Gareth. Freya is okay with the news especially given they've hit a dead end anyway and is happy to wait until they can resume the hunt later with a new plan.
Freya does seem to let her façade drop for a moment before putting the fake face back on for her housemates.
Mackenzie is suffering having not got much sleep due to being out most of the night clubbing with Hendrix. She is totally singing his praises... that is until she receives a text with an invite to the private Hendrix group Sadie set up online. Mackenzie clicks the link before joining the 'Hendrix Heat' group and just like Queen Victoria, Mackenzie is not amused!!!
Coincidentally Hendrix has arrived, bearing the rose he got from Karl, and so is asked why there are pictures of him on that account? Give Hendrix his due, he looks as bemused as Mackenzie does just as the promo kicks in!
