Sheila is trying to get hold of Gary, whose phone keeps going to voicemail. Sheila is panicking and Ellie tries to reassure her, saying she knows someone who might be able to get into Xanthe's phone.

No.22
Terese is breaking the news to Piper about the lump in her breast. Piper is understandably very shocked and Terese tries to reassure her that it might still be nothing. Terese will call Imogen herself. Piper suggests doing some research online and Gary thinks this is a good idea - into nutrition if nothing else. Terese just wants everyone to stay calm until they know more.

Gary finally picks up his phone and answers it - it's Sheila frantically telling him that Xanthe is missing.

Harold's Cafe
Ellie tells Ben that Xanthe has gone missing and is probably with Finn. Ben isn't surprised as Xanthe has been obsessed with Finn lately. Ben isn't keen to get involved. Ellie wants him to help them break the code for Xanthe's phone, but he says they should just let her be with Finn(!) He goes off into the toilet just as Susan comes in.

Susan suggests that Ellie looks for Xanthe down by the lake. Ellie tells her about the Finn connection and Susan is shocked, saying Finn is manipulating Xanthe.

Lassiter's Car Park
Susan asks Ellie if she thinks Finn would "cross a line" with Xanthe. Ellie doesn't think so.

No.22
Gary, Terese and Piper are discussing the Xanthe and Finn situation. Piper is checking all Xanthe's social media accounts but Xanthe hasn't posted anything. Gary is beside himself and turns on Piper, asking if she's been making going out with an older guy seem glamorous(!) He quickly apologises and starts ranting about Finn instead. Terese tells him to focus on finding Xanthe - Gary should go home and help Sheila. He is concerned about missing Terese's appointment, but she says it's fine: he has to put Xanthe first today.

Ramsay Street
Mark and Sheila are discussing Xanthe. He tells Sheila that Finn may have acted inappropriately and thus Xanthe's age isn't relevant - Finn is her teacher. Besides, he's still wanted for poisoning Susan and Nell. Sheila is worried that Xanthe will try to protect Finn. Mark says they could have tracked her phone, but unfortunately Sheila confiscated it - so he'll need Xanthe's bank details instead. Meanwhile, Sheila needs to call everyone Xanthe knows, and quickly.

Xanthe's bedroom
Sheila has rung all of Xanthe's friends and enemies too(!) while Gary searches her room. Sheila looks in Xanthe's jewellery box and Brooke's ring has gone. She's worried Xanthe has taken it to sell.

Coffee Shop
Susan tells Ben in no uncertain terms that he has to help out in finding Xanthe. She explains that Xanthe has been groomed by Finn. He gradually sees sense and offers to help get in to Xanthe's phone. He tries out some dates he knows are important to Xanthe and eventually gets the right code to access the phone. Susan is delighted, but when she looks at the phone, she finds out that Finn has been staying at the Church - and that Xanthe has been visiting him at night. She goes off to find Mark.

Hospital
Karl and Terese are discussing the mammogram she's about to have. Terese is very nervous and asks Karl what are the chances of it being cancer. He tries to reassure her. She says she is scared.

Church
Mark comes in looking for Finn, closely followed by Sheila. It looks like Finn has moved on. Sheila is frantic and asks if he has checked all the messaging apps in Xanthe's phone and so on.

Just then, Susan calls Mark.

MARK: What? Have you got a flight number?
SHEILA: Flight number?!

He tells Sheila that Susan has found a confirmation of a flight booked in Xanthe's name to Hong Kong - it leaves in a few minutes. Mark puts out an urgent call over his radio to the police to stop the plane from taking off.

Plane - Melbourne International Airport
Xanthe and Finn are getting settled in their seats.

XANTHE: I need to tell you something. I know that nothing can even happened between us. I get that, and that's good, but...I just need you to know how amazing I think you are. You're so kind and thoughtful and totally selfless, and you are so, so brave that sometimes it blows my mind a little. So please don't freak out with what I'm about to tell you, OK? It's just...I need to say it at least once and not because I think that anything's going to happen from it, but it's just for me. I love you.

Finn just looks at her.

No.22
Piper is researching cancer on the Internet and crying a little. Terese comes in and is concerned to see that she's upset. She tells Piper that she doesn't need to be "strong" - she just wants her to be open and honest. Piper feels that family are so far away and now Terese might be ill too. She burst into tears, hugging Terese.

No.28 (Susan and Karl's bedroom)
Susan is resting in bed, but she's upset that she didn't trust her instincts with Finn. Karl tries to comfort her, saying that Finn is to blame for everything happening here.

Plane - Melbourne International Airport
A policewoman approaches Finn and Xanthe and asks them to disembark to answer a few questions. Finn tells Xanthe that they'd better do what the police say. When Finn is getting the bags down from the overhead locker, he moves something from his bag into Xanthe's.

Police Station
Mark is interviewing Xanthe. Xanthe insists that Finn hasn't "crossed a line". She is very defensive of Finn and says that she trusts him implicitly.

Mark also interviews Finn separately who says that Xanthe is a very emotional person.

Between the two of them, they tell Mark about Finn's diagnosis and how Xanthe took it upon herself to give him health advice. She also helped him when she was living in the Church. She bought her own ticket to Hong Kong to look after him. Finn insists that Ellie and Susan have treated him unfairly.

Finally, Finn tells Mark that Xanthe poisoned Susan. On this information, Mark looks through Xanthe's bag and finds the item that Finn placed there.

MARK: Xanthe, these are the same painkillers that were found in Susan Kennedy's blood tests, and later in Nell's. Xanthe, what are you doing with these?
