Lassiter's
Amy has just finished fixing a jamming door at the hotel, when she sees Liam concluding a conversation with Terese. They shake hands and agree to have a meeting tomorrow.
While Liam makes a phone call, Amy asks Terese why she's meeting with Liam. Terese explains he's been pitching his hand sanitisers to Lassiter's. Amy asks if Paul set up the opportunity for him, but Terese says Liam organised it himself - and that despite Paul not being a fan of Liam due to his history with Amy, Terese quite likes his ideas.
Liam comes off the phone, and invites Amy to go for a post-work drink with him. She agrees, and they leave, reminiscing about old times. Meanwhile, Terese takes a call from one of her kids, and asks what's up...

Terese is being filled in by Imogen and Piper on the peptides that were found in Josh's bag - which apparently were enough to put him in the frame for a trafficking offence. Terese is convinced it's a mistake, and Piper wonders if someone's deliberately framed him, while Imogen keeps quiet about her knowledge of Josh's former behaviour at Elixa Fuel.
Josh and Brad arrive; Josh quickly confirms that the pills found weren't his. While the police haven't charged him yet as they're still investigating, they're likely to in the next few days. Josh says he last opened his bag perhaps last week, so they could have been planted at any point since then.
TERESE: The whole idea of you dealing with illegal substances is absurd.
IMOGEN: ...
JOSH: ... Alright, there's something you guys should know.
The Waterhole
Aaron is fielding calls from journos, asking him for a statement on Josh's arrest during The Heat's gig, while Naomi looks on sympathetically. She's reluctant to get involved with managing PR for Aaron given her recent infidelity with Josh, but when his phone rings again she grabs it and takes control!
NAOMI: Hello, Naomi Canning speaking... No, I am their publicist, so I will be fielding this call... Ah! That is a complete non-story. No, the police aren't even real. They just - they were just part of the show...
As Naomi walks away to continue the call, Nate and Sheila join Aaron at the table. Despite Nate's attempts to defend Aaron, Sheila is furious that Josh got marched out of the place in the middle of their dance act - and informs Aaron that she won't be hiring The Heat again.
Paul, who is at another table, gets a text from Tim Collins, saying 'Plan is on track' - while Naomi continues to fight off the journo on the phone, telling them they'll look stupid if they run a story on Josh's arrest.

Josh is telling Brad and Terese the whole story of how he got mixed up with Forrest's illegal peptide scheme while he was working at Elixa Fuel. Terese is especially concerned by the part about Imogen dating Forrest purely to dig up dirt on the firm.
BRAD: You seriously hit him?
PIPER: I would've paid to see that!
Meanwhile, Josh insists that he only sold the peptides in order to provide for Amber and the baby, and had nothing to do with the pills found in his bag today. Imogen concludes that Forrest must be involved in setting Josh up. While Brad is keen to give Josh a telling-off for his illegal antics, Terese is more focused on the present, and says she'll arrange a meeting with Toadie to discuss strategy.
While the kids are out of earshot, Brad criticises Terese for not supporting him in giving Josh a lecture, and says they should be working as a team for the kids' sake.
TERESE: The only team here are me and the kids. You made sure of that.
So Brad strops off back to the motel, telling Josh as he leaves that they'll get through this.
Lassiter's Complex
Amy and Liam are talking about his presentation to Lassiter's tomorrow. He promises her that once he lands the contract, he'll be able to support Amy and Jimmy. Amy sceptically remarks that this sounds familiar, but Liam is insistent that he wants to make both of them proud. Amy then becomes more encouraging, telling him that he can do this. Liam picks Amy up and swirls her around.
LIAM: This is going to change everything. For all of us.
Kyle watches enviously from the shadows.

Imogen is researching means of assisting with Josh's defence on her laptop. Piper points out that Josh might not even be in this mess if Imogen hadn't stuck her oar in with Forrest. Terese insists Imogen was only trying to help, but Piper continues to blame Imogen for making Forrest and his goons angry at Josh.
IMOGEN: You know what? You weren't even here, so how about you keep your opinions to yourself?
PIPER: Right - so only people who agree with you are allowed to speak?
Piper then likewise turns on Terese for 'shutting down' Brad, despite him obviously being upset about Josh's situation.
IMOGEN: Mum was focused on organising the practical stuff - that's all.
PIPER: Mum was focusing on punishing Dad. Look, I get that you're angry with him, but he wants to help support Josh. Maybe you should let him.
West Waratah Inn
Brad is banging uselessly on a broken heater when Lauren turns up to see him. She's come to check up having heard from Sheila about what happened with Josh, so Brad invites her in.
BRAD: The place was given three stars, but I think there might have been a bribe involved.
He explains that the heater's broken, as is the chair leg - so an awkward Lauren's forced to sit on the bed. Brad blames himself for not having realised Josh was in trouble, and Lauren can identify that, having been in similar situations with her own kids.
BRAD: It's hard to be angry at them, isn't it - when our own lives are such a mess?
Lauren agrees that life seems to be getting more complicated. There's a knock at the door, and Brad goes to answer it; Terese is standing there, and is visibly heartbroken to see Lauren sitting on the bed behind him. Lauren stands up.
TERESE: I... erm... came to talk to you about Josh. But clearly you've already found a friendly ear.
Terese leaves again, while Brad and Lauren look awkward.
Lassiter's Complex
The following day, Kyle has given Sheila a lift to work, and she moans to him about the impact Josh's arrest is having on The Waterhole's reputation. Kyle says that on the contrary, it might create a buzz and be good for business. Suddenly, they spot Liam at the other end of the car park, funnelling liquid into hand dispenser bottles. Sheila immediately concludes that Liam is pouring cheap supermarket product into pricier bottles in order to flog them to Lassiter's at a high profit.
The Waterhole
Terese meets up with Brad to talk about the kids. First, he reassures her that Lauren left the motel straight after she did last night, and that it was the first time she'd been there. Terese seems to accept this, but wants to know why Brad had to talk to Lauren about the Josh situation, and not someone else.
BRAD: Well, you were my first choice, but you made it pretty clear that that wasn't an option.
TERESE: Look, the reason I came over last night was to apologise. I've been shutting you out, and that was wrong. I'll consult you on everything from now on.
BRAD: I'd appreciate that.
Terese suggests that Brad should come to the meeting with Toadie too, which she's just about to set off for. Brad agrees, saying they should present a united front to support Josh.
BRAD: Look, I understand why this is hard for you. We need to be a family right now, as much as we can.
TERESE: I agree. He needs us both.
As the Willises leave, Aaron and Nate come in. Nate suggests to Aaron that his agent could get him some solo work without Josh, but Aaron reveals the agent isn't even answering his calls because of the arrest scandal. Aaron admits to Nate that he thinks Josh is innocent; but Nate then tells him about the coward punch incident with Chris, prior to Aaron's arrival in town.
Lassiter's Complex
Kyle quizzes Amy about what she was up to last night. She admits she went for a drink with Liam, to celebrate his forthcoming meeting with Lassiter's to pitch the hand sanitisers. Amy admits she thinks Liam's really ready to turn things around, despite his behaviour in the past. But Kyle then tells her about seeing Liam pouring handwash into fancy bottles in the car park.
KYLE: His whole sales pitch is a lie.
The Waterhole
Nate's finished telling Aaron all about Josh's criminal past, when Josh himself arrives. Nate leaves him and Aaron to talk; Josh has just come from his meeting with Toadie, and apologises for the gig getting ruined last night. He promises there'll be no more trouble from now on.
AARON: I hate to say this, but I think it's better if I perform alone from now on.
JOSH: So I'm out?
Aaron says he's 'just trying to get his brand right', and Josh immediately realises Nate has told Aaron about his assault conviction. Aaron tells Josh he'll find other work, but Josh admits that being a dancer is the closest he's felt to feeling good about himself since his swimming career fell through. Aaron apologises, but Josh is upset, and leaves.
Imogen and Naomi come in, discussing Josh's legal situation. Naomi wishes there was something she could do to help, and Imogen mentions that she thinks Josh has been framed. Imogen explains the whole story about Forrest, and how she made him angry. The name seems familiar to Naomi...
NAOMI: You said Forrest?
IMOGEN: Yeah, Forrest Jones. His name's almost as weird as he is.
Naomi asks Imogen to tell her the whole story. Imogen agrees, on the condition that it stays between them.
Lassiter's Complex
Kyle tells Amy he's sure about what he saw, just as Liam and Terese come out of the hotel following a successful meeting. With Kyle's backing, Amy confronts Liam about Kyle's allegations in front of Terese. But Liam explains that the bottles Kyle saw him with were those of a rival brand, which he was preparing for a blind-test as part of his presentation.
Undeterred by Amy's accusations, Terese says Liam's product was the best, and shakes his hand, before walking off. Amy feels bad for jumping to conclusions, and offers to buy Liam lunch to make up for it. Liam says he'll have lunch with her, but can pay his own way. Kyle sulks as they leave together.
Meanwhile, Lauren tries to talk to Terese, to explain why she was at the motel last night. Terese says she's already heard Brad's 'excuses', and that Lauren is just making it worse.
TERESE: It's really obvious what's happening here. You and Brad are seeing each other, and you're pretending otherwise for the sake of the kids.
LAUREN: We're not - I swear we're not.
TERESE: Well then you're wanting it to happen. Just like you've always wanted him.

Things are still frosty between Piper and Imogen. Imogen makes an attempt to bury the hatchet by saying it must be hard for Piper to know what's going on having come back from Canada to all this chaos, but Piper interprets this as another attack on her. Imogen sees Piper's phone as it beeps, and picks it up, seeing that there's a message from someone called Chas. Piper leaps up and grabs the phone from Imogen.
IMOGEN: Woah, chill out. I didn't read it!
PIPER: Don't ever touch my things!
IMOGEN: I haven't heard you say that since we shared a room.
PIPER: What, you think I'm being childish?
IMOGEN: Yeah, a little bit.
PIPER: Is that why my opinion doesn't count? Because you still see me as the baby of the family?
IMOGEN: I really think we're talking about different things now.
PIPER: This is why I've stayed away for so long.
IMOGEN: Okay, I get that you feel sidelined. I actually felt like that for a really long time. Josh was the golden boy -
PIPER: Don't blame Josh for the way you treat people.
IMOGEN: And how do I treat people, Piper?
PIPER: Like you're better than them.
IMOGEN: This is not the Piper I know.
PIPER: Because you don't know me! You know nothing about me!
Upset, Imogen leaves. Piper looks at her phone. The message from Chas reads: 'Feeling the distance today. Miss you.'
The Waterhole
Aaron is feeling guilty for dropping Josh from The Heat, but Nate cheers him up by telling him that he's secured him a gig booking at the Waratah Hotel. Nate admits he felt bad about how Aaron's social media status update about their relationship led to a loss of business, which is why he contacted the hotel to secure the booking for Aaron. Aaron calls Nate 'the best'.
Meanwhile, Liam and Amy are having a friendly lunch together, while Kyle sulks at the bar, watching them. He explains to Sheila that they were wrong about the handwash being dodgy, and Sheila guesses that Kyle is jealous of the attention that Liam is getting from Amy. Kyle insists Amy's just a mate he's looking out for.
Back at the table, Amy insists on paying for lunch, despite Liam's assertion that he wants to pay his own way. She also leaves a $10 tip, before heading off to the ladies'. Once she's gone, Liam pockets the $10, while Kyle watches disapprovingly.
Suite 1 Eclipse Apartments
Naomi comes to see Paul, and immediately brings up the topic of Josh's arrest - asking if it's had any impact on business at The Waterhole, as Sheila has suggested. Paul insists not, saying Sheila's fussing unnecessarily. Naomi continues to dig, asking how the incident has affected Terese - but Paul just says Terese is a professional and that it won't affect her work.
NAOMI: You must've enjoyed it though. Watching Josh getting taken away by those cops - that must've felt good.
PAUL: Look, I will admit that Josh is not my favourite person. But I would never take pleasure in somebody else's misfortune.
Naomi snorts incredulously, along with every Neighbours viewer the world over.
PAUL: Although, I have to admit, it just goes to show that people do tend to get what they deserve in the end, don't they?
NAOMI: Oh, so you're saying it's karma?
PAUL: Call it what you want. The fact is, Josh behaved badly and now he's suffering. Kind of reassuring in a way, isn't it?
Lassiter's Lake
Naomi finds Josh on a bench and sits next to him, asking how he's doing. Josh explains that Toadie believes his story, and has told him not to panic till he's charged - but claims that's just a matter of time. The fact that he had the bag with him all day doesn't help his case, Josh adds. He admits to Naomi that he's really scared, as he's probably going to prison.
NAOMI: No, you're not - because you're innocent.
JOSH: Thanks for believing in me.
NAOMI: The thing is, I'm pretty sure that Paul had something to do with this.
JOSH: What?! Are you serious?
NAOMI: I can't prove it yet, so don't mention this conversation to anyone - but just leave it with me, okay?
JOSH: What are you gonna do?
NAOMI: I still need to figure that out. But I promise you, Josh, I will do everything in my power to clear your name.
JOSH: Thank you.
