Paul has bought Daniel a mobile phone, saying hell need one now hes doing a two- week trainee trial at the hotel. Daniel refuses, saying he doesnt want one, but Paul is sure hell change his mind soon enough. Paul goes inside, and Daniel stops to talk to Imogen, who is doing schoolwork outside Harolds. She goads him about his new role at Lassiters, saying it doesnt sound like something a free- spirited hippie would do!
DANIEL: What you wear doesnt make you what you are.
IMOGEN: Keep telling yourself that.
DANIEL: Does your uniform define who you are?
Imogen looks uncomfortable, and Daniel strolls off. Brennan comes out of Harolds and Imogen shouts out to him, but he keeps walking. She looks disappointed.
Toadie comes in from work and suggests to Sonya that they go and see a movie tonight. She seems keen. Callum comes in; hes just about to go out, but is in a mood, and doesnt tell them where hes going before stomping out of the front door. Toadie and Sonya are perplexed, assuming the mood is Josie- related, as they thought things between them were okay now.
Naomi shows up to pick up the statutory declaration Toadie has prepared for her, prior to her meeting with Charles at the Waterhole shes going to ask him to sign it to state legally that he gave her the painting as a gift. Naomi sits down only to find an orange on her chair!
SONYA: Oh, I'm so sorry. Theyre still everywhere.
This prompts Sonya to apologise for the orange misunderstanding last week. Naomi insists Sonyas not to blame. They wish Naomi luck with Charles, and she leaves.
Outside the hotel, Georgia watches with amusement as Daniel struggles with guests cases. Shes about to head off for a jog when a man in a suit shows up, asking for directions to the Waterhole. She points him in the right direction, then goes on her way.
Sienna turns up, looking for Brennan, and asks Imogen, whos still outside Harolds, whether shes seen him. Imogen admits he was here, but didnt seem in the mood to talk and asks Sienna if somethings happened. Sienna just asks Imogen to tell Brennan she needs to talk to him if she sees him again.
Nell is playing with her toy tea set on the floor, while Sonya goes through the mail theres a postcard from Jade, who has just moved to San Francisco. Sonya spots something among Nells toys on the floor, and asks her what it is but she soon realises for herself.
Shortly afterwards, Toadie and Sonya discuss what shes just found, which is revealed to be an (unopened) condom, that they conclude Nell has found while playing with Callums schoolbag. Toadie thinks its good that Callum is prepared to be safe, and that hes probably just thinking about TITTNL rather than actively doing it.
TOADIE: If hed done it, Id know for sure.
TOADIE: Because hed be walking around like he was king of the world.
SONYA: Oh, really? Is that what you did?
TOADIE: Its what every boy does.
Sonya thinks Toadie should talk to Callum about this, and his relationship with Josie, to find out whats going on. Toadie, unwilling to go there, says Callum can figure things out for himself.
TOADIE: I mean, I managed.
SONYA: I know, but from what you told me, the only advice your dad gave you was to get a haircut.
Sonya pushes the issue, insisting Toadie has a man- to- man chat with Callum. Toadie reluctantly agrees.
The suited man who spoke to Georgia is at the bar, complimenting Paul on the establishments wine list. Paul slinks off and Sheila approaches the man.
SHEILA: I heard you were slithering into town.
MAN: Nice to see you too, Sheila.
We soon learn that the man is Charles, Naomis ex- lover, fresh back from Antarctica. Sheila begins to lay into him for messing Naomi around, demanding to know whether his wife Polly knows about his visit to Erinsborough. As Paul watches the confrontation with interest, Charles quickly loses patience, comparing Sheila to a dried- up old prune, and she flings a drink over him just as Naomi comes in!
NAOMI: I'm so sorry I didnt think shed be here!
She tells Charles they should go somewhere else for their meeting, telling Sheila that shes ruined this, before running out after Charles.
Naomi and Charles come in she apologises again for Sheilas actions, and thanks him for coming. Charles admits he thought he might never see Naomi again after she walked out on him. She claims still to miss him, and Charles wishes they could rekindle what they had. They are agreed that they can't, but the body language remains ambiguous as Naomi plays with his tie. She presents him with the statutory declaration about the painting for him to sign, but he quickly prevaricates by saying that he needs to freshen up, and heads to the bathroom.
Imogen has come to see Brennan, and quizzes him about what has happened between him and Sienna she had the feeling that theyd been fighting from the way Sienna was earlier. Brennan doesnt want to talk about it, but Imogen continues to press him. He just says he made a mistake, and asks Imogen to leave it. Taking the hint, she leaves.
Callum comes in, and Toadie initiates the man- to- man chat, showing him what Nell found in his schoolbag. Toadie insists Cals not in trouble he just wants to check hes okay with stuff. Cal insists he and Josie havent done anything yet; he just got the condom in case. Toadie reminds Cal what a big step TITTNL is.
TOADIE: How would Josie feel if she knew you had these?
CALLUM: She does know.
TOADIE: She does?
CALLUM: Yeah, it was her idea.
Cal explains they discussed it, and decided it was the best thing to do hes not planning on taking advantage, because he respects Josie, and they love each other. Toadie is at a bit of a loss for words, but says thats good.
CALLUM: Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?
TOADIE: No, I think you pretty much covered it all there, mate.
CALLUM: Good. Lets never talk about this again.
Imogen finds Sienna sitting on the Bench of Contemplation, and demands that she tell her what happened between her and Brennan.
SIENNA: We kissed. Happy? And now we have some sorting out to do. Grown- up stuff. And don't you pretend that you havent been sniffing around him too.
Daniel, from outside the hotel, watches their confrontation with interest.
SIENNA: The only difference between us is that you don't have a hope with Mark. You know why? Because youre a child. So why don't you stop kidding yourself, and leave him alone?
Sienna marches off, leaving Imogen looking sad. She makes eye- contact with Daniel from a distance.
Sienna talks to Brennan, to try and clear the air but hes not coping with the situation, and tells her hes sorry, but that she can't stay here anymore.
SIENNA: Mark, youre all I've got. If you turn your back on me too, I've got no- one.
She continues to beg to stay, and Brennan eventually relents but tells her that the kiss between them can't ever happen again. She willingly agrees, and says shell go back to her old flat to collect the rest of her things, to give him some space. When she comes back, they can start over. Brennan doesnt object, but looks worried.
Naomi is pouring champagne for herself and Charles, who tells her how beautiful she looks. They clink glasses, and Charles tells her how much he missed her while he was in Antarctica. She points out that he never returned her messages, until she sent him the saucy snap and then he was here in a flash.
CHARLES: You took that picture in this room, didnt you? I recognise the couch.
NAOMI: You noticed the couch?!
Charles insists he would have come here sooner even without the picture, but hes just had a lot of business to attend to and apologises for keeping her waiting.
NAOMI: Does Polly know youre here?
CHARLES: Oh, you really know how to kill the mood, don't you?
Charles invites Naomi back to his room at Lassiters, for a nightcap. But she prevaricates, saying shes going to cook him dinner here instead but that he needs to sign the declaration about the painting. He heads back to the hotel, to email the declaration to his lawyer so he can read it through, as a formality promising to come back later for dinner.
Imogen is now on the Bench of Contemplation, clearly upset, and Daniel comes over to join her. He asks her what happened with Sienna, but Imogen stays tight- lipped. He shows her a crystal he has a rose quartz which he offers to Imogen.
IMOGEN: What am I supposed to do with it?
DANIEL: You don't have to do anything with it. Sometimes I find just holding it in my hand can help.
He places it in her palm, saying it can help absorb stress. She denies shes stressed, but Daniel says her recent behaviour towards him suggests otherwise. He adds that if the crystal doesnt work for her, she can throw it in the lake before heading back to work. Imogen is smiling by the time he leaves.
Toadie is relaying details of his chat with Callum to Sonya, saying he couldnt fault anything Cal said, and that he and Josie are not rushing things they just want to be prepared. Sonya verbally agrees with what Toadie says, but her face says shes not convinced. She admits that despite Cals maturity, she still hates the fact hes thinking of TITTNL, and that hes growing up too fast.
Cal comes in, and asks if Toadie and Sonya are still going to the movies. Sonya says they are, and that Georgia is babysitting Nell so invites Cal to come with them, and to bring Josie. Cal admits that he was actually going to go to Josies house, since her mums are away. Toadie says thats cool, and Cal leaves the room, but Sonya looks horrified and tells Toadie that Cal and Josie must be planning to TITTNL tonight. She says she isnt ready for this.
Sheila and Paul are having an argument about her behaviour towards Charles.
PAUL: I'm not asking you to be polite, I just want you to keep your mouth shut. And please, will you not throw drinks at him?
SHEILA: Oh, my goodness me. Paul Robinson saying please? Next thing you know, the Queen will be twerking!
Paul says that if Naomi can get Charles to sign to say the painting was a gift, Polly can drop the charges, Paul can keep the painting, and Naomis $60K debt to Paul is cleared.
PAUL: Now isnt that reason enough to keep your mouth shut?
Naomi comes in for a bottle of wine to have with dinner, and Sheila and Paul badger her for information about how things are going with Charles. She explains his lawyer is looking over the declaration, and Paul tells her to keep him updated, before sidling off. Sheila remains unconvinced that Charles will sign, and tells Naomi theres only one reason hes here.
Charles is waiting at the counter when Georgia comes in, and they exchange pleasantries. He asks for her advice in helping to choose a dessert, and she recommends the caramel tarts. Charles compliments Georgia on her physique, and she looks awkward.
CHARLES: You know, I'm staying at the hotel across the way. Maybe we could share a dessert sometime.
Georgia isnt sure how to respond, and looks embarrassed.
Naomi insists Sheila doesnt understand Charles, claiming that he cares about her, and will sign the papers.
SHEILA: You sound like youre considering giving him a second chance.
NAOMI: And that would be none of your business. If I want to go back to him, I will.
