Number 32
Michael browses through his album collection in the morning, smiling wistfully when he finds the Hunters and Collectors one he and Rebecca danced to. Natasha hurries in, looking for her social committee notes, but Michael barely acknowledges her. He eventually snaps out of his funk and finds the notes, while Natasha goes on about Rebecca trying to take over the social. Michael gets a text from Rebecca asking what time the committee meeting is but he doesn't reply - phase one in trying to distance himself from her.
Number 26
Chris watches Summer cut through a mountain of pickle and cheese sandwiches for her, Steph and Charlie. Summer figures it's the least she can do since everything is stress- central at home lately. Chris says that the social might be a nice distraction for her, especially since she's helping out Andrew, but Summer's thinking about pulling out of the whole thing. Chris thinks Summer's being a chicken and says that she should just tell Andrew how she feels. Summer doesn't want to put herself out there but Chris says that the whole 'suppressing your feelings' route is a bad idea.

Zeke sneaks into the social committee meeting just as Natasha is telling everyone that Sophie can't make it. Zeke asks where Rebecca is but Natasha says she's busy (missing the guilty look on her dad's face). Natasha brings everyone up to speed with the entertainment and then suggests that when the social King and Queen are announced there should be a balloon drop. The committee isn't convinced. Michael freezes when Rebecca appears and mentions her text message, but he just pretends his phone has been playing up. She smiles and says it's lucky the office lady knows his schedule. Michael just grimaces in return.
Natasha exits the meeting in a foul mood over her balloon idea being deflated. Michael looks uncomfortable when Rebecca sidles up next to him.
REBECCA: It's a nice idea, Tash, but we're not Cirque de Soleil.
Zeke tells Michael he'll get back to him with a final budget but Mike says he'll need to chase up Andrew Robinson first. The kids head off and Rebecca asks Michael if Natasha's worried about her 'invading her turf', but Mike brushes it off: "Tash just sees herself as a bit of an events manager". Rebecca smiles and says that yesterday was fun and that they should do it again sometime, but Michael says he might be a bit busy with the social. Rebecca offers to help out more but Michael lies and says that they've got everything covered. They're about to go their separate ways when Rebecca stops him.
REBECCA: Michael? I want to say thank you. Being part of this and dancing to old music, it's just been really great to do something different. So you will let me know if you change your mind?
Michael just nods and sadly watches her walk away. Later that morning Lucas finds Callum staring at a poster for the social plastered on his locker.
LUCAS: You looking forward to it?
CALLUM: (rips the poster down) Like my next dentist appointment.
LUCAS: Come on, I thought a smooth dude like you would be all over it. Put on your best clobber, do a few moves for the ladies...
CALLUM: I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.
LUCAS: We'll put you down for a 'maybe' then.
He leaves Callum to mope and walks past Summer and Andrew. Sum's panicking about her missing Biology notes so Andrew offers her his and then asks if she's still onboard for helping him with the social. Despite her earlier worries, Summer can't help but say yes. Natasha overhears and offers her help too but Andrew says he and Summer have it covered. Let me just deflate that love heart balloon for you, Tash.
Harold's Store
Michael asks Lucas how things are going with Steph. Lucas admits he feels a bit useless - Steph's already got Toadie as her lawyer and best mate, "It's just hard to get a look in sometimes". Natasha overhears this as she joins them with an uber- pout on her face. Michael registers his daughter's mood and offers to buy her a smoothie to cheer her up. While he's at the counter Natasha tells Lucas she knows exactly how he feels about not getting a look- in. Lucas wonders who she's talking about but Tash doesn't say - she just wants to figure out the best way to get someone's attention.
NATASHA: From my experience, the more you're in someone's face the less they want to know you.
LUCAS: Yeah that's true.
NATASHA: So maybe it's best to try and do the exact opposite.
LUCAS: You mean play hard to get?
NATASHA: Yes, you're right! Play hard to get. I'm so glad we talked!
Natasha scurries out leaving Lucas confused and Michael wondering why he wasted money on a smoothie.

While they're waiting for class to start, Andrew tells Summer and Chris about this young club promoter he's been chatting to. The promoter has heard good things about Andrew and wants to meet up tonight at his own underage gig to chat. Andrew invites them both along but Chris pretends he's busy, making 'Say yes, idiot!' faces at Summer behind Andrew's back until she agrees to go. Andrew invites Natasha along as well but she lies and says she's got stuff on, happy that her 'play hard to get' plan seems to be working brilliantly already.
Number 26
Chris is gobsmacked when Summer emerges from her room in a nice dress with her fringe swept to the side. Summer thinks she needs more bling but Chris says she looks hot, "and I'm a tough crowd". Chris wonders if tonight's the night where Summer finally tells Andrew how she feels, but Summer doesn't know if the timing will be right.
CHRIS: You need to decide now.
SUMMER: Why?
CHRIS: Because if you don't you're just going to chicken out. Look, you're going to a totally hot club, you look incredible and there's no Tash to worry about. There's never going to be a better time.
SUMMER: It's scary.
CHRIS: A lot of things are.
SUMMER: What if he's just not into me?
CHRIS: Then you just blame the music. (pretends he's in the club) 'Thought I said what?! Oh, no, no way!'.
Chris assures her she'll be fine, and although she looks like she wants to puke or pass out (or both), Summer finally says she's going to do it.

First Commercial Break
Dance Club
Summer and Andrew are waiting in line to get into the club with a bunch of other teens. Andrew asks what's up with her new look and Summer says she wanted to make a good impression on the promoter, smiling when Andrew adds that she looks fantastic. Summer attempts to chat about her feelings, and about them hanging out together, but Andrew becomes distracted when he sees Tomas, the promoter. He calls Tomas over and introduces himself, and Tomas compliments Andrew on the Gold Coast beach gig he did last year. Tomas then eyes up Summer before giving them VIP access to the club, much to the annoyance of the other teens.
Harold's Store
Natasha orders up some low- fat ice- cream (with caramel sauce on the side), becoming disgusted when she hears Callum blowing bubbles into his chocolate milkshake. Callum sarcastically thanks her for roping him into all the social nonsense, now Sophie hates him and he's a loner. Natasha points out that Sophie was ignoring him in favour of Zeke well before she got involved.
CALLUM: Seems like I'm not the only one who's hanging out alone tonight, though.
NATASHA: And what is that supposed to mean?
CALLUM: I saw Andrew and Summer. She said they were going to some nightclub. Didn't they invite you?
NATASHA: Yes they did but I had better things to do.
CALLUM: Sure, like eat low- fat ice- cream. Wow, exciting.
NATASHA: Get a life.
Callum just continues to blow bubbles into his drink while Tash sulks.
Charlie's Bar
Zeke brings Rebecca the finalised catering order for the social. Rebecca wants to clarify that absolutely everything is covered for the social, looking disappointed when Zeke says that it is.
Number 32
Michael flicks through the TV channels like a zombie before giving up and shutting the TV off. He glances over at his albums, unable to tear his eyes away from the Hunters and Collectors one. He goes over and picks it up, just staring at it.
Charlie's Bar
Rebecca confesses to Zeke that she thought Michael was giving her the brush- off about the social earlier, like he was getting "uptight" about asking her to help out more. Zeke doesn't quite know what to say so Rebecca just tells him to ignore her.
REBECCA: You know what this says? That I need to get a life. When you're relying on volunteering for a school social to provide you with distractions then you really need a life.
She asks Zeke how things are at home and he admits they're pretty tough, especially since Karl and Susan are acting weirder than usual. Rebecca sympathises and says to tell Susan that she'll pop over soon for a chat.
Number 32
Michael has put on the HandC album and has even managed to crack a smile... Until he starts reminiscing about dancing with Rebecca and becomes sad again. He quickly shuts it off just as Natasha returns home. She senses that her dad is angsty about something and asks if he's OK, but Michael lies and says he's fine.
Second Commercial Break
Number 24
Michael's having a beer with Lucas while they watch the MotoGP- or in Michael's case, pretend to watch.
MICHAEL: Sorry mate I've tried but I just don't get it.
LUCAS: It's MotoGP, what's not to get?
MICHAEL: They just go round and round. It's like Formula 1, it's only fun when they crash.
LUCAS: Have I taught you nothing?
MICHAEL: Looks like it.
In a not- so- subtle segueway (to the audience anyway) Michael brings up Lucas's time living with the Robinsons and asks what he makes of Rebecca.
LUCAS: Ugh, nightmare. (Off Michael's surprised look) Jokes! Nah, she's tops, and she's had a miserable time of it lately.
MICHAEL: Yeah?
LUCAS: Yeah. Well there was Paul and Diana, Paul and Declan, Andrew and of course there's always Paul.
MICHAEL: And having you living with them.
LUCAS: One bright spot in a world of darkness! Nah, she deserves a bit of fun after what she's been through. She's always looking after other people, it's about time someone looked after her.
Go on, Michael, you know you'd be the perfect person for the job! Lucas offers Michael another beer, but Michael says he might leave him to it.
Charlie's Bar
Michael walks in, back to his usual non- angsty self, and tells Rebecca that they're not nearly as organised as he thought with the social. Rebecca beams and says she'd be happy to help him out, she was looking forward to it. Michael smiles and says he was too. Rebecca takes an album out from behind the bar to show Michael - he's stoked to see it's the Angels' 'Dark Room'.
MICHAEL: Where'd this come from?
REBECCA: (delighted) You're not the only one with a collection.
MICHAEL: I had a copy of this. Tash decided to play Frisbee with it when she was five.
REBECCA: You can have that one on extended loan, and there's more where that came from.
MICHAEL: Well you should bring them over.
REBECCA: You're not too busy?
MICHAEL: Nah, I'd love it. Some time next week?
REBECCA: Yeah, next week it is. So are you going to call me? (Michael looks startled) About the social?
MICHAEL: Oh, sure, yeah!
REBECCA: Alright I'll see you around.
They smile at one another and Michael walks out with the album, sneaking a glance back at Rebecca as he goes. Oh, you got it bad, son.
Dance Club
Tomas brings Andrew and Summer some drinks and talks business (agreeing to a test run party with Andrew to see how they'd go as partners), but Summer becomes increasingly uncomfortable when Tomas keeps leering at her. When he heads off, Summer mentions it to Andrew, who didn't even realise it was happening. Summer says she doesn't want to wreck any business stuff they have going on but asks Andrew to stick by her to keep creepy Tomas at bay.
Later that night, while Summer's in the bathroom, Tomas asks Andrew if Summer's single. Andrew warily says that she is but that Tomas isn't exactly her type. When Summer returns, Tomas manages to coerce her into having a dance. Andrew falters when Summer makes 'eww, help me' eyes at him before jumping in and politely taking Tomas aside for a chat. Andrew says he lied before and that he and Summer are together, so Tomas eventually agrees to back off. Summer has no idea what they're saying, so she's a little startled (but mostly delighted) when Andrew comes back and kisses her (all for show).
Third Commercial Break
Dance Club
Poor Summer's on cloud nine out the front of the club, thinking that Andrew feels the same way about her, but she's devastated when Andrew tells her what's really going on.
ANDREW: I saw him grab you and I knew I had to do something drastic. I could see things were getting difficult between the two of you, so I went and told him that me and you were going out, and he wouldn't back off and... I'm sorry I had to kiss you. I know I made a bit of a show of it, but I really do want to keep him onside so can me and you pretend like we're going out, would that be alright?
SUMMER: ... Yeah that's fine.
ANDREW: OK, awesome, thanks Summer!
Aww. Andrew was being genuinely apologetic but the poor girl looks like her heart's just been stomped all over.
Preview
(Tomorrow on Neighbours)
NATASHA: How did you and Andrew go last night?
SUMMER: He's all yours, Tash, knock yourself out, goodbye.
(Lyn gives Summer a hug)
LYN: If Andrew Robinson doesn't realise you are the most beautiful girl in the world it's his loss.
(Paul has another chat with Sam)
PAUL: I want you to win this case without hurting Donna.
SAM: And if you have to choose between the two?
(Paul finds Donna out on Ramsay Street)
PAUL: The woman responsible is going to trial this afternoon and you need to be there.
(Lucas confronts Paul)
LUCAS: She's a great kid, she's just lost her husband and you pick a fight with her in the middle of the street.
SUSAN: Where is she?
PAUL: I don't know.
(Toadie preps himself for the big day)
TOADIE: We know what Sam's going to throw at us, we are prepared for this.
(Steph hugs Charlie tight)
STEPH: I don't know if I can do this.
LYN: Don't let anyone push you around.
TOADIE: It's time.
