Recap
Kate wondering if Declan wants to be with her.
Donna telling Declan to sort things out with Kate.
Steph thinking perhaps she and Toadie should call off their deception.
Libby telling Steph and Toadie she sees Dan everywhere.
Libby demanding to know from Steph why she won't talk to her; Steph telling Libby to go; Libby storming out.
Number 30
Steph is freaking out over the argument with Libby, insisting that they have to tell her the truth: she slept with Dan. Toadie reminds Steph that they love Libby and this is why they are doing this for her; he instructs her to go and apologise to Lib, convince her.
Number 28
Libby tells Lucas that Steph attacked her, and she won't tolerate the way she spoke about her and Dan. She then apologises for offloading to Lucas about everything - at least Susan's back tomorrow and she can offload onto her instead. Lucas doesn't mind.
Steph's at the door, here to apologise. Lucas politely leaves. Steph profusely apologises; her relationship with Toadie hasn't been easy and she overreacted to Libby. Steph wants to hug her best mate but Lib's clearly not going there, yet, so Steph leaves.
Charlie's
Toadie gets a drink for Steph, who's not really in the mood to listen to a band. Donna, Dec and Kate are eating a meal and complimenting Bec on her food. Their celebration of starting uni has gone well!
The band starts up whilst Steph says she's not hungry, and complains that this deception isn't going to work.
Donna and Kate get up to dance at the song. Steph watches the two best friends, and remembers her and Libby's friendship being like that.
Number 24
Kate's in her PJs, making Sophie's lunch, as Soph complains about 6 years of attending school whilst Donna and Kate get lots of time off at uni. Soph leaves just as Summer comes over to pick up Harry for school, but he's at basketball. Whilst Kate's in the bedroom, Donna thanks Summer for standing up for her over the whole DVD thing.
Summer pushes back; she didn't stick up for Donna. Andrew was a moron to let the thing get out, but Andrew's clearly a player, and Donna got played. Sum walks off, leaving Donna gutted.
Harold's Store
Libby's leaving with shopping as Toadie walks in. He apologises that she and Steph are having a hard time with their friendship at the moment.
TOADIE: You'd expect better of her. And I expect better of you. It's time you stopped questioning our feelings for each other and just let it go.
Libby has the grace to look ashamed and quietly leaves.
Over at a table it turns out Kate wasn't wearing her PJs after all, as she's still in them at the store. Donna is worrying about uni today, and that her dress might be too short. Declan comes in as Donna leaves, and they discuss how Donna's been having a hard time from everyone lately over the DVD. They form a plan!
University
Donna stands alone outside the uni whilst other students look at her and laugh. Sarah from school comes over to chat with her, just as Dec and Kate appear, too. The tutor (Andrea) appears and calls in the Year 1 Visual Merchandising students (are we sure this isn't school?). Dec and Kate join arms with Donna and walk in with her.
Inside, a discussion on image is taking place, whilst the girl behind Donna is wearing only a bra and no top. Bizarre. Donna makes some points about image in class, but neither Andrea or her peers agree with her, and she's left looking stupid.
After the break, still in the classroom, Declan and Kate are sent out for not being enrolled on the course. Andrea then questions Donna's authenticity, but she confirms she's a Visual Merch student. On her way out, Kate announces that Donna's already in the fashion industry and, prompted by Andrea, Donna explains her shrugolero is being produced today. Andrea is impressed, and Donna smiles for the first time since being in class.
Charlie's
Paul is on the phone to his accountant, frustratedly telling him that PirateNet has to make a profit - and yes, he's seen the revenue sheet. Rebecca walks over, and Paul's tone quickly changes. He puts the phone down, and tells his wife that the new accountant seems really good; better than the last one who made a total mess of the figures...
Rebecca walks away, still unaware. Paul quickly calls the accountant back and says that they will go through the figures again until he hears what he wants to hear.
Steph and Toadie march in; he's trying to cheer her up, make her feel better. Luna Park, or a day at the bay? Skinny dipping? She laughs, he's completely mad! Libby is at the doorway, watching, smiling at their romantic moment.
Cut to later and still at Charlie's, Dec and Kate walk in. Kate's worried about Sophie, who seems to be having some hassles at school. They order some coffee, and Kate wonders if she has to learn to take a step back from Sophie's problems, let her sort it out herself. Declan suggests they swap 'kids': he'll take Soph for a milkshake if Kate'll look after India whilst he's at uni. Kate agrees.
Libby sits at a table and asks them about their first day. They explain they didn't have classes, but took Donna's to hers; after all, that's what friends are for. Lib sits, thinking.
Number 26
Summer answers the door to Libby who's popped into see Steph. She apologises for yesterday and they give each other big hugs. Steph tells her mate that she wouldn't risk their friendship for anything in the world; Libby knows.
LIBBY: I know you'd never hurt me. I guess this stuff with Dan is just too painful, still. I'm so lucky to have you. You have no idea what that means to me.
Number 22
Kate, Bec, India and Lucas are lounging around when Donna storms in, yelling on the phone. The producers have lost the master designs, and this is a DISASTER. It will take her FOREVER to re- do it. What, you didn't keep copies?! Who doesn't keep copies of vitally important stuff?!? Silly girl.
Cut to later and she's on two phones, the girls are taking measurements, the table is covered in material, and Donna has managed to get all the work re- done. So - not quite forever, then?? She's going to skip an afternoon lecture to check the designs before they go out.
Number 26
Summer and Steph are watching daggy old TV shows. Toadie comes over, and Sum tactfully decides to take Harvey for a walk. In the kitchen Toad asks Steph how she is, and they acknowledge that neither of them talk about Lucas or Sonia. Toadie assures her that there's no- one else in the world with whom he'd rather pretend to be in love.
University
Donna is legging it to the building, but Andrea and students are leaving: she missed class. Andrea pulls her up over it, and reminds her she can only miss two classes in the whole course. Perhaps Donna's not cut out for it.
Number 22
Donna comes home, upset. She tells her family and Kate that Andrea suggested she wasn't cut out for the course, and thinks perhaps she's right. Paul makes fun of Andrea, and tells Donna she was right to put her business first - Andrea's clearly only a lecturer because she can't make it in business.
Her friends remind her not to quit uni - she should just man up and cope with the difficulties of life.
University
Donna turns up for her next lecture, which Andrea is pleased about. She then announces a guest lecturer for the day: Saffron Jancowicz. Donna and Saffron clock each other; Donna's left horrified.
