Nicola drops by to collect her mail and gets short shrift from Didge who is still in a foul mood over what Declan said to Josh. She explains that Josh was provoking him to score points with her and Didge changes her tune and says “thank you” in a nice voice to her aunt as she heads out the door.
Miranda arrives home to get some cleaning materials after explaining why she is home (and isn't exactly pleased to see Nicola there either). Nicola asks if she can help and is told to close the door on the way out.
Lucas and Declan have a deep & meaningful about women not answering their calls as they head out of the clubhouse after training.
DECLAN: Sometimes you've just got to know when to give up.
LUCAS: If you're not getting what you want, you're not trying hard enough.
Toadie asks for Dan's help when Callum's teacher wants to come by to discuss Callum in case she thinks he is bad role model and wants to ship the little lad off to his granny. Somewhat reluctantly he gives in to Toadie's request and agrees to be there.
The General Store
Toadie is trying to buy the right things for Callum's teachers visit and after Sienna repeats his fears, wants to buy two of the fancy packets of biscuits even if they cost $8 (£4).
Declan comes into the store and Josh winds him up and tries to taunt Declan into hitting him. Unfortunately the moment Declan pushes Josh; Steve & Miranda walk in. Josh tries to land him in it even further by informing them that Declan has been saying things about Didge. Steve sends Josh away and wants to know what Declan has been saying.
Nurse Smith tries to have a dig at Nicola when she arrives late for work but changes her tune when she explains about the break-in. Karl pops his head out of the treatment room to ask for some help with a patient and Nurse Smith sends Nicola in. She doesn't last long in the room treating the patient though when after Karl explains the patients injuries, she sees that it is Pete Ferguson and runs out of the room.
The General Store/Hospital
Steve finishes lecturing Declan as Nicola calls him from the hospital to tell him that Pete is at the hospital and after seeing his injuries thinks he is the one that broke into the surgery.
The General Store
Steve re-tells Miranda what Nicola just said and wants to head down to the hospital but she tells him to leave it to the police and if he goes there, then she'll leave him.
The sergeant tells Nicola that Pete is denying having done the robbery but they will investigate his alibi. Nicola tries to get him to change his mind but all the sergeant can suggest is taking out a restraining order before he hands over his card as he leaves.
Nicola puts on her professional face before entering Pete's room to tell him he won't get away with it but he just asks where she wants him to start on Steve – his arms or his legs.
Steve comes off the phone after getting nowhere with the insurance company as Nicola arrives to tell them about Pete – there isn't enough evidence so the police can't charge him. He wants to go to the hospital to sort Pete out himself but Nicola stops him and asks that they let her deal with Pete.
Didge tells Josh when he stops to talk to her that she knows he still likes her and is causing trouble for herself and Declan. Josh confirms that he thinks she is still hot and isn't out to trouble between herself & Declan but he then stirs things by saying that he is worried about her because Declan is a dangerous guy. Didge is stunned by this but he continues by telling her that Declan lashed out at him earlier and so he is just looking out for her.
Her train of thought is lost after getting a phonecall from her family when she has to leave immediately but not before agreeing to watch Josh play basketball that afternoon. After she leaves, Josh wastes no time in calling Declan to see if he wants to prove what a big tough man he is.
Callum's teacher Kelly arrives and Toadie does the intro's but somehow she doesn't seem to realise that Toadie and Dan are simply flatmates not roommates! Eventually she tells them why she's called round – she caught Callum looking at a picture of a woman hidden inside his maths textbook and thinking he got it from the internet, suggests that they get a filter put on. Toadie looks at the photo Kelly handed over while Dan shows her out and gets an invite (if they fancy it) to do a talk on same sex parenting to the PTA. laugh.gif A shocked Dan heads back into the livingroom and an equally shocked Toadie shows him what Callum was perving on – a very revealing photo of Nicola!
Karl and Nicola run through the protocols before Pete can get his pain relief drugs but Karl gets called away to an emergency before they can be administered and Nicola wants him to confess before he gets the injection.
Toadie and Dan try to come up with a plan to punish Callum before he arrives but they don't succeed. Both of them find it difficult to explain to Callum why he is in trouble – in fact its Callum who brings up the picture of Nicola and he doesn't seem to think he's done anything wrong. He goes on to show them the other photo's he has of her wondering why the teacher is getting agro for only seeing one photo.
Time has moved on and its time for Pete's next does of pain relief, which he is desperate for after Nicola didn't give him the last one. Karl comes in to administer it and Pete tells him about not getting his last one, so he talks Nicola outside the room to ask her about it. She explains that she didn't give him it because Pete's got a substance abuse problem and that's why he couldn't tell the police anything earlier. They both re-enter the room to give Pete his pain relief but Karl gets called away to sort out tests for a patient. Pete tells her to get the police; he'll talk when she taunts him that Karl will be away for a while.
The duo are having trouble trying to get over to Callum that he is in trouble and he points out the double standards Toadie has since his wardrobe is full of magazines and I don't think we are talking about TV Week! In the end its Sienna that has “the chat” with him when she can't but help getting involved after seeing the duo struggle.
SIENNA: (Holding up the photos) What are you doing with these?
TOADIE: (Quickly) They're not mine.
CALLUM: I found them on Nicola's computer. She said I could use it.
SIENNA: (surprised) She said you could look at these?
CALLUM: When I first found them I kind of went bonkers… in a good way.
SIENNA: Okay. Toadie's probably already told you that its alright to look at photos that make you feel like that but there has to be limits and if they're private photos you probably shouldn't be looking at them.
TOADIE: (relived someone else has had “the chat”) Yes, that's exactly right matey. Look no more computer stuff, no magazine stuff, DVD stuff, its all banned.
CALLUM: That doesn't leave me with anything.
SIENNA: Actually it leaves you with heaps. Haven't you ever heard of junk mail?
SIENNA: There's plenty of stuff in junk mail. You've got ladies clothing, underwear…
Callum then picks up his stuff and starts to run home to see if the postman has been! laugh.gif
The sergeant confirms to Nicola that Pete has confessed but also adds that he used his deaf ear when listening to Pete's allegations. He reassures her that Pete won't touch her family before departing.
Nicola enters Pete's room to give him the pain relief and she isn't exactly being speedily about it and as she injects him, suggests that he gives up the vendetta against her family and finds a new hobby. As soon as she's administered the injection, Pete grabs her with his un-injured arm and upon hearing Nicola's cries for help, Karl rushes into the room and helps to free Nicola but not before Pete issues a warning – it isn't over.

FVO: Nicola has problems that bring her dangerously close to Karl.

(Susan walking into a hospital room to find Nicola hugging Karl)
FVO: Neighbours, tomorrow on Ten.
