Recap
- Kayla telling Max and Steph she can't afford to look after her baby, but she doesn't want to give it to just anyone.
- Karl telling Izzy to follow Bobby.
- Izzy seeing the 'three witches' get their revenge on Bobby.
Karl and Izzy's Flat - home of the Blatant Liarrrrr
Izzy arrives home as Karl is washing up, and he asks her if everything is alright. She doesn't want to talk about it. Karl says he hates to see her hurt, but Izzy replies that she isn't hurt - following her Dad was a waste of time, he went straight home to bed like he said. Karl apologises for being suspicious, and Izzy goes off to have a bath. Blatant Liarrrrr.
Scarlet Bar
Susan and Lyn are toasting sweet revenge, but Suse wishes Janelle was there too - she felt they really bonded tonight. Lyn apologises for getting angry about the situation with the Bobster - they are best friends and shouldn't let anything come between them, especially a man. Lyn says she is going to miss Susan when she leaves, and they make a toast "to us."
The camera cuts to the side door of the bar, and the Bobster himself appears, still in his good ol' Bonds singlet, and boxer shorts (I swear my dad has the same pair...). He grabs a random extra to cover himself up, but it is to no avail. Everyone laughs at him, and Suse and Lyn snigger that "this just keeps getting better and better!"
Hoylands
Steph and Max arrive home, and excitedly tell Summer and Boyd that Kayla has selected them to be the adoptive family of her baby, and if it is ok with the kids, they are going to accept. Summer and Boyd hug them and say of course it is ok, and everyone is happy and excited and can't wait for the new addition to the family. Now how long can this happiness last...this *is* the Hoylands we are talking about...
General Store
Dylan is trying to talk Sky into going to a Vintage Car meet with him. Sky isn't interested, but Dylan persists - we're talking about classic cars here! Classic designs, classic lines...but Sky still doesn't want to go.
SKY: Oooh I get it - let me guess, do I need to bring one of my skimpy bikinis, or do they give me one of those when I straddle the bike?
Dylan says it isn't like that, but Sky replies that however he puts it, bogan's drooling over their throbbing V8's just doesn't do it for her. Dylan storms out.
Scarlet Bar Office
Bobby is dressing himself as he tells someone on the phone that he really needs the job. He tells them that he can't pay for the flight yet - just book the ticket and he will pay later. He then gets angry and repeats the instruction, before hanging up.
Kizzy's Bedroom
Karl is all tucked up asleep, when Izzy comes out of the bathroom in her most seductive red nighty, and sets about seducing Karl, who is totally disinterested, and he thinks they should talk. Izzy announces that that is boring, as Karl tries to explain he understands how much her Dad hurt her. Izzy just wants him to get over it, but Karl says he is worried about her.
IZZY: Well, then show me how much you can take care of me...
KARL: I'm not sure that would solve anything.
Izzy does a Dylan, and storms off, telling Karl she is going out.
Scarlet Bar
Izzy is chatting up a random extra at the bar. WAIT! The random extra speaks! Miracle of miracles, his name is Grant - not Graaaant - Grant. Izzy tells him he has the 'strong silent thing down pat'...well, he *is* a random extra! Bobby appears and is a bit shocked to see his Bella. He says he is feeling much better, he just *doesn't* know what came over him! Izzy introduces him to Grant, and Bobby offers them some Champagne. Grant is all for it, but Izzy's tune changes and she tells him to shove off. He leaves, telling her she needs H-E-L-P.
Bobby tells Izzy that was a bit harsh, and she drags him out the back (nearly closing him in the door mind you!), telling him he knew she was in a relationship and he was happy to sit and watch her chat up some guy. Bobby says she is a big girl now, and it is none of his business what she does or who she sees - if she is happy, he is happy.
Izzy then does the big reveal - she knows he lied to her about being sick - and she knows exactly where he went and what happened with Lyn, Susan and Janelle. She says she saw what they did to him, and he deserved it.
IZZY: That dinner was so important to me, and you walked out on it just so you could nail one of your floozy's!
Bobby tries to apologise and says he'll make it up to her by taking them out to dinner, but Izzy's says doesn't he get it - it wasn't about the dinner! Everyone tells her he is no good, and she always sticks up for him, but now she knows he doesn't think of anyone but himself. Bobby says he really does try, but Izzy says he doesn't try hard enough and he knows it. Bobby says he loves her - she means the world to him!
IZZY: Funny way of showing it...Dad.
She storms out for the second time that night.
Kizzy's Flat
Izzy arrives home and asks Karl why he isn't asking where she has been. He says as long as she is home safe, that is all that matters. Izzy says she is just so confused at the moment, but Karl suggests they go to bed and talk in the morning. Izzy tells him she loves him, and they have a bit of a cuddle.
General Store
Boyd and Sky push past each other at the drinks fridge, still icy towards each other. Dylan comes up and tells Sky she missed something special last night, but Sky tells him again it isn't her thing. He invites her to another car meet tonight, but she says she is going to a comic fest. She says if he is so into the art thing, why doesn't he come and see ome real genius. He doesn't really want to, but then says if he goes to the comic fest, will she come to the car meet. Sky refuses, and Dylan tells her she is close-minded. Boyd sniggers in the background. Sky hears him, and suddenly she is all for the car meet. She agrees to go, and leaves with Dylan, leaving Boyd looking put-out.
Hoylands
Lyn congratulates Max and Steph on their adoption news, and they tell Oscar he's going to have someone to play with. Max puts on a fake grumpy voice and says now the hard work really begins, but Steph says he really can't wait, he's a big softie! She gets up to answer the phone, and Lyn asks Max about the birth mother. Max says that Kayla's alright, but she is only a kid at 16, and practically living on the streets - meeting her left them with no illusions about what they were getting themselves into. Steph rushes in looking for her keys - that was Kayla on the phone and she is in some kind of trouble at the refuge. Lyn wonders whether she should be getting involved, but Steph says she needs her. Max finds the keys and leaves with Steph, apologising to Lyn. Ingo cracks a big grin, and Janet tries her best not to smile.
Scarlet Bar
Izzy arrives for work and is shocked to see Bobby there - he wasn't rostered on, but thought he'd do something special. Izzy says it was thoughtful of him. Bobby wants to have breakfast with her, but Izzy will only agree to a coffee. Bobby wanted to talk to her anyway - a big opportunity has arisen to do with the Japanese tourist business...but he needs to lend some money. Izzy gets her checkbook out and Bobby asks for $3000, which Izzy signs away to him. Bobby thanks her, and asks if she minds if he pops over to the hotel now and puts the deposit down straight away. Izzy bids him a meaningful farewell. Is this goodbye to the Bobster? Looks like it.
Erinsborough High
Boyd is asking Susan for some contact details for something (and Aikido school?....couldn't quite catch it) and she says she has them in her office. Boyd wants to try something different; even though Max is worried he'll get obsessed with it. Susan offers to talk to him, and Boyd says she is really going to be missed when she leaves.
Boyd runs into Sky, and proceeds to tell her how much she is going to hate the car expo. Sky says she isn't even listening to him, but he continues anyway. He says he never thought she'd change herself for a guy, but Sky says when it's true love it is something special. Boyd snorts at the suggestion of Sky and Dylan finding true love. Dylan asks wha is going on and Sky says Boyd was just jealous he isn't going to the car meet. Dylan says he isn't tagging along, so not to get any ideas.
BOYD: Hey, don't worry about me, I'll be perfectly fine having a cry at home. Yep.
Garage
Max pulls up with Steph in the passenger seat. He tells her not to worry, the new place Kayla is in seems ok, and he thinks they might have got themselves in a bit of a panic over nothing - Kayla wasn't in any real danger. Steph says it wasn't exactly peaceful either, and Max agrees, but he has to get to work. He tells Steph to relax - they can't do anything else for Kayla. They have a kiss and a cuddle and Max tells Steph he'll call her later, and she heads off to work.
As Max drives off, Bobby wheels his suitcase up to the bus stop across the road and plonks himself down.
Scarlet Bar
Izzy is pinning up posters when Max arrives. Izzy tells him Bobby is gone - she wrote him a check and doesn't want him here anymore. Max rushes out of the bar after Bobby, even though Izzy says it isn't worth it.
Bus Stop
Max arrives and Bobby looks suitably guilty. He tells Max it isn't what it looks like - he'll be back in a couple of weeks - they are looking for civil engineers in Malawi. He didn't plan it, but they need him, and Izzy *will* get her money back. He doesn't want to leave on bad terms, but Max says he didn't come to give him a hard time, or get him to stay - but if he does go, don't bother coming back.
Bobby says it doesn't mean he doesn't love them - they are his kids. Max says he knows he loves them, but it is about his choices. Bobby says to say goodbye to Bella, and tell her...tell her she'll get the first postcard from Malawi. Max leaves, and Bobby catches Steph's eye from across the road. She looks disappointed, and walks off, leaving Bobby looking suitably guilty once again.
Kizzy's Flat
Izzy has brought a present home for Karl - she is sorry for giving him such a hard time lately, and things are going to change. She tells him Bobby is gone. Karl says he is sorry, but Izzy says it was his choice, and it was never going to work out. She points out that you can't choose your family, but she feels so lucky to have Karl. He says he feels the same way, and carries her off to the bedroom.
General Store
Max tells Steph he should be used to Bobby leaving, but he hopes Izzy will be ok. Steph says they'll just have to lookout for her. Steph say's the food is her treat - it's been a rough day. Max hopes the worst is behind them. Steph still can't believe the refuge Kayla is living in. Why do I sense a plan coming on? Max can too - he says that she has got this far without them. Steph says she knows, but she'd feel scared living there. Max points out that she is a survivor, but Steph doesn't think she should have to do it so tough. She's been thinking - maybe Kayla should come and live with them?
