Recap
Lou telling Connor he can't lend him any money.
Karl waking up to find Izzy's note.
Tom telling Susan he loves her.
Susan's house
Susan and Tom are about to kiss. Susan stops and says it's wrong. Tom agrees, and they go to kiss again.
Night club
Jack, Stu and Connor enter the club. Jack is energetic, the other two aren't. They want to call it a night - at 9 in the morning. Jack finally meets up with Mac, who explains she was at a different night club all night. Jack wanted her to meet Connor and Stuart, but they had to leave. Jack says he'll have to go to work soon as well, and Mac tells him to take the day off with her.
Susan's house
Susan and Tom are finally kissing. When they stop, Tom says he's sorry. "Don't be," Susan says. They're about to go in for another one when Sindi comes home. They instantly pull away and pretend nothing happened. Sindi tells them about her new job and comments that Tom's there "a bit early for a pastoral visit". Tom leaves, making up some work excuses.
Hoyland house
Steph and Max have a device that measures oestrogen levels in saliva, which can determine a good time to try for a baby. Steph has to spit on lens then look through the eyepiece.
STEPH: Oh, it's like a kaleidoscope!
MAX: What can you see?
STEPH (imitating a drugged-out hippie): Whoa, man, the colours! Psychadelic!
It seems it isn't a good time to try for a baby. Max is looking through the device when Summer comes home from school. She wants a look, but Max won't let her, because it's not a toy. Summer knows it's to do with the baby. She wants to know what the thing does, and feels entitled to, because she's turning 13 next week, nearly an adult. She's upset when they won't let her have a look, even after Steph tells her she spat on it. She leaves again, just as Harold comes in, looking for Isabelle. She hadn't opened the Coffee Shop yet, and Harold was a little worried.
Night club
Jack and Mac are still dancing away. Jack gets jealous when Mac goes off to dance with some other guy.
Hoyland house
Max makes a few phone calls, with no success. He and Harold decide to go around to Karl's place to investigate.
Susan's house
Susan is about to go off to school but Sindi demands an explanation for what was going on before - "And don't you dare say Bible Study." Susan reluctantly tells her, and makes her promise not to tell anyone. "He's a priest, he's taken vows," Susan says. "Yeah, well, you kissed him, you can't take it back!" Sindi replies.
Hoyland house
Max finally gets in touch with Karl, and finds out what happened with Izzy. Max then explains this to Steph. As usual, Steph and Max differ on their opinions of Izzy. Steph doesn't think the baby is Karl's, Max tells her to keep it to herself.
Pub
Stuart and Connor get some accounting advice from David about buying number 30. They need a deposit before getting a mortgage, and Connor has a bit of trouble with money. Toadie and Stu are going to loan Connor the money for his part of the mortgage, which David warns can be a bit risky, Connor will now have 2 loans to repay. But Connor is determined.
Coffee Shop
Harold is managing well considering he's down a staff member. He apologises to Summer for the wait and asks if she'd like a strawberry milkshake on the house. Summer protests - they're for 12 year olds - and asks for a coffee. Harold thinks she means "iced coffee", and Summer corrects him. Harold asks when she is turning 13. Summer, surprised that he knew, tells him. She complains to Harold that Max isn't acknowledging that she's growing up. Harold explains that it's hard to accept: it makes parents feel old. Summer asks him if he thinks Declan is too young for her. They begin to talk about it, when Summer reminds him that she's waiting for a drink. Harold gets it for her. Summer drinks it and doesn't really like it.
Pub
Connor is working extra hard at the pub, and when Max gets off the phone (looking for Izzy), he tries to approach him for a raise. Max tells him it's not the right time.
Night club
Mac tries to get Jack to spend another night clubbing with her. Jack says he can't afford to miss another day of work. Mac asks if he wants to go back to her place. When Jack mentions something about girl's making a move on him, Mac says she wishes he was straight. Jack tries to tell her that he isn't gay, but Mac doesn't listen.
Susan's house
Susan comes home and Sindi asks about a follow-up from Tom. Susan says she hasn't talked to him again, and believes they both think they made a terrible mistake. Sindi asks if she would take back the kiss if she could. Susan says no, but it's a bit of a hurdle when you fall in love with a man who's already married to God. Sindi tells her she needs to give it a go, despite what Tom does for a living. Susan doesn't want to be responsible for completely derailing his life. Sindi is adamant that they should give the relationship a go; Susan tells her it's up to Tom. He's got the most to lose. Sindi says that Susan deserves to find out where she stands.
Coffee Shop
Lil and Steph talk about Izzy, and how she's annoyed at Max for always taking his sister's side, no matter what she does. Lil says she shouldn't let her get in the way of her relationship with Max. Steph says she just wants him to see how stupid he's being. Lil says that it's pointless trying to change something that she can't, and to just let it go. Steph says that she's having trouble trying to be nice with Izzy, she hates being dishonest. Welcome to marriage, Lil says.
Hoyland house
Steph comes home and she and Max make up. Max says he can't help worrying about Izzy, and Steph says she'll try to keep quiet. Max says that she has a right to speak her mind about Izzy. Steph tells him that Izzy will be fine.
Church
Susan comes to visit Tom. When Tom sees her, the two of them smile.
On the road
Mac is driving, Jack is next to her. He wants to know why she thought he was gay. Mac tells him that it's because he's cute, he's got good hair, he knows good clothes, he uses hand cream, and watching Making Mansions, she knows he's obsessed with his biceps. Jack tells her that they took it all way out of context. Mac mentions the Ricky Martin poster, and Jack says his now famous line, "I don't have a Ricky Martin poster!" Jack continues to defend his sexuality, and suddenly yells "Watch out!" Mac swerves to avoid hitting something.
Church
Tom says he's praying for guidance, to make sure he makes the right decision. When he's done, there's no going back for him. Susan leaves.
Off the road
Jack and Mac aren't hurt, Jack swears he saw something run across the road, but Mac didn't. Fortunately the car's fine. Jack wants to know where she learned to handle the car so well. Before she can answer, they hear police sirens. Mac tells Jack to run away, she'll handle the police. Jack can't work out why she's acting so weird, but goes anyway.
