Izzy telling Tom about her new man, and how he doesn't know.
Karl telling Susan about his relationship with Izzy.
David lying to Lil about going to the office on Saturday.
Lil telling Lyn she thinks David is having an affair.
Lyn laughs at Lil's suspicions because she thinks it would never happen. Lil thinks that Karl may have given him “some of his cheating germs or something”. Susan comes over to see if the women are interested in the Lassiter's film festival. They say they are and Lyn insists Susan stays for a coffee. Lil tells Susan about David, and Susan reacts similarly to Lyn. Strangely, she even says “what, you think he picked up some sort of bug from Karl?”
Karl asks if Izzy is interested in seeing the film festival. He mentions that he and Susan loved going to them, and trails off at the thought. Izzy tells him that if it interests him, she wants to be a part of it.
Susan is telling the two L's that there is a common trait in men who cheat: vanity. Then she decides she should shut up before she sounds like the bitter ex-wife. Lil, now reassured, leaves Lyn's place.
Outside Bishop house
David calls the mysterious Crystal on his mobile to cancel their “appointment”, because Lil is getting suspicious. During the phone call, Lil is on her way home from Lyn's house and sees David on his phone. She spies behind some bushes. Serena and Scott walk past David and say hi to him, startling him. Lil runs back into Lyn's and shows the ladies David's activities out the window.
Bishop house (night)
David and Lil are paying bills. Scott offers a great hint: balance. Lil notices that the credit card bill is missing. David lies, saying that he didn't spend anything; they mustn't have sent a bill. Lil is suspicious, but David is saved by Lyn coming over to pick up Lil for the film festival. David convinces Lil to go. Lil wants David to go too, but he insists it should be a girl's night out. Serena tells Scott they should go. Scott doesn't want to, but Serena says he owes her for the party she almost got busted for. Scott suddenly changes his mind.
Libby hangs up from talking on the phone and excitedly tells Susan that Erinsborough News wants her to write articles for them. Libby asks if Susan can babysit the next day while she goes in for an interview, but she can't because she's doing Amnesty stuff with Tom. Libby is reluctant to get Karl to watch Ben.
Susan, Lyn and Lil come in after the festival. Karl and Izzy are also there. Scott and Serena enter, because Scott wants his one free drink that the festival ticket entitles him to. Susan walks over to talk to Karl. Lil busts Serena and Scott, who quickly leave. Susan asks Karl if he could babysit Ben for her. They start to make conversation about the film festival, and Izzy interrupts. Karl quickly leaves with Izzy.
Susan, Lyn and Lil are back at Susan's, talking about a soap on channel 44 (the Making Mansions channel). Libby comes into the loungeroom after putting Ben to sleep. Susan tells her that Karl can babysit, but Libby doesn't want him to.
Karl is dancing with Izzy, and must be the oldest person there. Karl gets off the dance floor for a drink. Karl apologises for taking her to the festival, she seems to enjoy the nightclub much more. Izzy insists that she's happy wherever Karl is. Izzy goes to the bar to buy a scotch on the rocks and a non-alcoholic cocktail. While she is gone, we see just how exhausted Karl is.
Susan is wiping up the dishes and accidentally drops one, getting more than a little upset. Libby comes in and sees Susan is upset. Before she can say anything, Scott returns from his date with Serena. He goes quiet when he sees Susan is upset about something. Scott offers to finish the dishes, promising not to break as many as Susan. Scott asks the ladies their opinions on Jackie Chan movies, because Serena is interested in romantic ones, and he's trying to get her out of them. Susan goes to bed, a little happier. When she's gone, Libby thanks Scott.
When Serena mentions she'll be seeing Scott, Lil brings up the little incident in the pub. David tries to get her to drop it, because she's learned her lesson. Lil tells Serena she has to do the ironing for her. She tells David she has film festival tickets, but David has “work” again. Scott comes over. Serena tells him they can use Lil's tickets to the film festival, but when he subtly tells her he doesn't want to go (by walking out the door) she asks what he wants to do. Anything he wants to do. Scott tells her to follow him and they leave the house.
Libby is on the phone again, trying to find a babysitter. Karl seems to be the only choice.
Scott tells her she has to do it (whatever “it” is) but Serena doesn't want to. Scott pulls the hood of his jumper over his head and puts on sunglasses and goes out on the road when a car comes. We find out what “it” is – he pulls down his pants and moons the driver of the car. Unfortunately, the driver of the car happens to be David. Scott starts running. “That was my dad!” Serena tells him. “So run faster!” he replies. David gets out of the car to chase them, but they are long gone.
Libby has finally given in and taken Ben around for Karl to mind. Libby tells Karl she doesn't mind him spending time with Ben, but she doesn't want Izzy to be involved. Karl tells her that Izzy is an important part of his life, and if she's going to lay down those sort of conditions she'll have to find someone else to look after Ben. Izzy comes in and says hello to Libby. “Looking after Ben, are we?” she asks. Libby replies with “I guess so” and leaves.
Serena and Scott are at the entrance of the door. Serena complains that what they are about to do is juvenile and stupid. They enter, go up to the front, and Scott does a hand stand in front of everyone. Serena also does one, but needs Scott's help. She falls over, but is okay. They run out of the shop again.
Karl is enjoying playing with Ben on a car mat. Izzy watches from the couch. She tells Karl he's a natural.
David, Lil, Serena and Scott have lunch. Lil notices that Serena hurt her hand. Serena lies and says she hurt it playing football. David complains about an idiot today who was “flashing his backside at passing cars”.
SCOTT: A kid who would do that has got to be off the rails or something.
LIL: Pity you weren't on your push bike, you would have had somewhere to park.
DAVID: Very funny. What if there was an accident?
LIL: I know. You could have been blinded by the sun's rays as they bounced off the moon.
DAVID: That's one moon I won't be forgetting in a hurry.
DAVID: His backside had very peculiar markings.
Karl gives Izzy and Ben a sandwich each. Izzy tells him she's lost her appetite, but seems to be faking it.
