Recap
John Allen and his wife take Lolly off in the car.
Lou says he might have won for now, but he isn't going to take his daughter.
Drew's brother Dougal insists that he won't go back to Oakie.
Scullys
Flick is studying distractedly. The phone rings and she answers it - it's Tad. She tells him the study isn't going very well and she's petrified about the exam. Tad asks her what text she's studying. He suggests they do a practice question. He tells her to ring back in an hour once she's done the question.
Bishops
Paul is watching movies instead of reading the books. He says that at least he'll know the plot(!)
Kennedys
Libby, Drew and Dougal are going to stay with Susan and Karl for a while. Karl tells them that another health clinic is opening around the corner from Lassiters - by the people Darcy was dealing with. Karl says the area can't support two clinics - it's bad news for Karl's practice. Karl thinks they always intended to move in to Erinsborough, and when Darcy got too greedy they decided to go head-to-head.
Karl asks Dougal why he isn't back in Oakie. He says he's enjoying the company of his gorgeous sister-in-law(!)
Lou comes round. He says they have a problem.
Ramsay Street
Dougal is playing with a tennis ball. He sees Leo and asks if he's got a bat - they could play cricket. Leo says he can't because he's off to hang out with his breakdancing crew. Dougal asks what else there is to do around here. He says it's boring in the bush. He's enjoying seeing bands and stuff while he's in town.
Kennedys
Karl tells Lou that John Allen didn't get the information about the painkillers from him. Lou says he hasn't had a single painkiller since he started going to Narcotics Anonymous. Karl says today is Lou's first formal court access visit with the Allen's. Lou says he's got to get interim custody until the case goes to court.
Bishops
Tad and Flick are studying. Flick is still panicking. Tad rubs her shoulder to get her to relax. Paul unhelpfully tells her to just learn a few quotes from the book. Flick suddenly realises that she can't find her lucky pen - she's never done an exam without it.
Kennedys
Karl is telling Drew than Lou's life is falling apart. Libby suggests that Dougal go round to the Hancocks and hang out with Leo. Karl rings Darcy and asks for a meeting on neutral territory.
The Coffee Shop
Darcy says that he didn't know that Total Cover planned to start up around the corner from their practice. Darcy says they never told him where they were going to set up. Karl laughs and says that finally Darcy has admitted it - that he didn't end the deal for altruistic reasons, but that Total Cover pulled the plug. Karl says he's set up a meeting with his solicitor for the next morning to dissolve their partnership. Darcy says he entered into the partnership in good faith(!) Karl says Darcy hasn't done anything in good faith from the word go - he's lied every step of the way. Darcy has conned his way into Karl's practice by lying. He is very angry indeed and tells Darcy to cut the act. And it's not just him he's conned, he's also hurt Alice, Dee and Tess. What's worst is the way he deceived Susan after everything she did for him. Karl says he's going to stay in the surgery - he will repay Darcy his original $100,000 investment and not one cent more. Darcy asks if they can talk it through, but Karl tells him not to waste his breath. He gives Darcy six weeks to get out.
The Pub
Lou is on the phone to Lolly. He tells her he'll see her in the morning. Darcy is at the bar and asks Lou if everything is alright. He says that Lolly has been to visit her new grandmother. Lou is upset - he can't even provide Lolly with a dog, let alone a mother or grandmother. Darcy says no matter what, Lou is her father. Lou says he doesn't have the final word - they've got legal right of access. Lou says the hardest part is that his little girl is having the time of her life.
Bishops
Tad has cooked Flick a meal. She is still panicking about the exams. She is still raving on about not having her lucky pen. Tad tells her to relax but Flick is wound up. She goes off home to find her pen. Paul says (rather unnecessarily) that Flick has chosen the pen over Tad(!)
Kennedys
Libby and Dougal are cooking dinner. Karl says that Libby is turning into her mother. Libby looks quite pleased! Drew comes in and tells them that Lou is going through hell. Dougal enthuses about life in Erinsborough. Drew snaps that Dougal is upsetting their mother and father by staying away. He asks Dougal if he's deliberately trying to hurt them - he hasn't even rung them. Drew apologises to Karl for his angry words and goes to clean up.
The Garage, the next day
Dougal and Leo come to see Drew. He isn't very pleased to see them.
Lou is on the phone to John Allen who is bringing Lolly back half and hour late. Lou isn't pleased - Lolly has school this morning. Drew says he's trying it on - next time it'll be an hour late, then two hours.
Leo is telling Dougal that he goes breakdancing about twice a week. He asks Dougal what he does for fun up in Oakie. Dougal says, "You really want to know?"
Karl's car
Karl and Darcy are on the way to the solicitor to dissolve their partnership. Darcy is still trying to talk Karl out of it, but he is unmoved.
As they drive along, a man runs into the road yelling, "Stop!" He needs help - there's been an accident: the roof has caved in on a building. One guy is injured and another bloke is trapped in there - they can't find him. Karl goes into the building to look for him.
The Garage
Drew is on the phone to a customer telling him his motorbike is ready. At that moment he hears the roar of an engine and looks up to see that Dougal has started the bike. He rides off on it. Leo is very impressed but Drew is almost apopleptic with rage.
Bishops
Flick has come to apologise to Paul and Tad about her tantrum last night. Tad asks if she found her pen. Flick says she hasn't. Tad gives her a present from him. It's a pen - he says he hopes it will bring her as much luck as the other one. Flick is pleased. Paul is taking his exams at the Exhibition Hall so he has to leave earlier than them. Flick wants to do some last minute study, but Tad and Paul says that a quick game of cricket will be better for them - a bit of exercise to clear their heads.
Collapsed Building
Karl has found the trapped guy. He and Darcy pull him out. The bloke isn't breathing so they start to resuscitate him (although it would probably help if Darcy extended the bloke's neck!!). The original injured bloke looks up and says, "What about Shane?" Apparently another bloke is still missing - he must have been inside. Karl leaves Darcy to do the resuscitation (poor bloke) and goes back in to look for the lost man.
The Coffee Shop
Drew is really mad with Dougal. He's rung the airline and reserved him a seat back to Oakie for this afternoon. Leo says that Oakie sounds cool and Dougal says that Leo can visit him sometime. Dougal says he'll be back when his nephew arrives and hugs Libby goodbye. She says he'll be a great uncle.
Collapsed Building
Karl is searching through the rubble while electricity sparks fly. He finds the bloke who is semi-conscious. Karl starts to crawl out with him.
The bloke Darcy is resuscitating revives and Darcy goes to look for Karl. At that moment more of the building collapses. Darcy shouts out to Karl but there's no reply.
