Libby cries that she can't have children
Joel asks Dee if she still likes her old boyfriend Max
Dee says she wants Joel to come along to her meeting with Max so she can prove nothing is going on. Joel says he wants to know what's going on now. Dee says that Max is a really nice guy and she doesn't want to hurt his feelings. Joel asks if he's there so that Max gets the idea that he knows there's no chance of them getting back together. Dee says that to do that, she'd have to break up with him first. Joel is shocked. Dee says she doesn't see what the big deal is. Hasn't he ever forgotten to break up with someone?
Lou and Lolly are showing Libby a Tikkimoo card game when Toadie comes in. Lou says it's a marketing dream (think Pokemon). Toadie takes Lolly outside to find out more. Lou suddenly realises he's probably in the way, and bringing Lolly has probably upset Libby following her recent news. Libby reassures him. Lou leaves and Drew comes in. Libby tells him she wants to have a nap and politely throws him out.
Dee explains how she and Max drifted apart when he moved overseas. She's just not sure that Max got the message, and she wants Joel to come along as her boyfriend, so everyone knows where they stand. She says she won't force him and Joel decides not to go. Dee pulls a face, but Joel says she promised not to force him and he trusts her.
Later, Joel reveals that he trusts Dee to go out with Max. Toadie and Lance wind him up that ‘who knows what feelings will be stirred up. He gets frustrated and goes out muttering ‘I hate this' before taking himself into the bedrrom.
Dee meets up with Max. He tries to guess her drink but gets it wrong every time. As they sit down he says it feels like nothing's changed. Joel walks in and Dee introduces him as her boyfriend. Max is polite, but obviously not happy.
Lance hands Lou the rent. Toadie shows interest in Lolly's Tikkimoo cards. Lou goes to leave, but before he gets the chance Toadie sends him to look at a door. At this point, Toadie takes one of Lolly's cards and hides it. Lance watches and asks what he's up to, but Toadie says it's nothing he needs to worry about.
Dee and Max talk about his international travels. She tries to encourage Joel to join in, which he does, but Max isn't really bothered with him, just trying to impress Dee with his tales. From the look on Joel's face he feels it could be working.
Drew looks nervous before he enters Libby's room with a big bunch of flowers. He wants to talk about what's happening, but it's not easy. He says he's very disappointed about not being able to have children, but they still love each other, that's the most important thing. He asks how she's feeling, but she doesn't know. She says it's just happened, and there's nothing they can say or do about it. He says he agrees, and it doesn't change the way he feels, he loves her more than he ever has and that's never gonna change.
Tess is helping Steph make dinner. She discovers that Steph plans to give her biking jacket away to charity.
Toadie is looking for Lolly's card, which Lance has. He uses it to force him to tell him what he's up to. Toadie reveals he's planning to draw up a similair scam to make money. Lou comes looking for the card. Toadie brushes him off telling him he'll look for it. Lance calls Toadie a sadist for doing that to ‘a poor little girl'.
Max and Dee are talking about his travels and Max accidently reveals they were together for a year. Max brings out a bottle of Pesht perfume that Dee loves and Joel couldn't find. Dee is impressed and Joel isn't, as Max went to a Budapest to get it.
Toadie comes over to borrow some coloured pencisl. He says hi to Tess. When he goes, Tess talks to Steph about riding the bike. She tells her that she has to move on to the next stage and get back on the bike.
Drew tells Steph that she's looking better. Steph says a good friend gave her some advice. She says she heard from the police that she can get her bike back. He offers to fix her up some quotes for the insurance She asks Drew if he thinks she should ride again. He thinks she has to.
Lance and Toadie still argue about the Tikki Moo card. Joel seems distracted.
TOADIE: Joel, you've got the mind of 6 year old, what's a good gimmick that'll grab your attention?
Lance and Toadie want to know how the night went with Max. Joel says there where times when he felt invisible. They tell him not to hit the old panic button just yet, wait and see what heppens.
The Coffee Shop
Toadie comes in and gives Lolly back her TikkiMoo card, much to her and Lou's relief. Tess comes in and both men agree she's looking a lot brighter.
Libby is quite short with Drew. She says everyone's been great but she can't get the energy to be grateful. Drew says he still feels they have things to talk about. She snaps and says she's fine, why can't he accept that instead of pushing? She just wants to be alone for a while, and could he go?
